Vida's POV

"What are you doing, Faye?" I exclaimed as she applied blush to my cheek.

"Ugh, Vida, just stay still, please? I'm not done yet."

"I'm not going to any party or occasion, Faye. I'm going there for work and nothing else."

"Oh, gurl, you're getting on my nerves. Do you only wear make-up for those occasions? Of course, you must look presentable and pretty, so Mr. Camero would love to negotiate with you more. You get it?"

"No," I say, grabbing the tissue paper next to me.

"Aish, dear, can't you just appreciate my efforts?"

I sighed and looked at myself in the mirror. She gave me a meaningful look.

"Okay. Okay. I won't erase it," I said avoiding her gaze. I heard her chuckled. I will never win with her; she's always making me feel conscience.

After the overall look process that Faye did to me, she can't stop complimenting me and even told it to Lola Clarita a million times. Meanwhile, Lola was just laughing at me because of my best friend's actions. I am so done with her. She also took me a lot of pictures in different poses.

"Are you ready, my dear?" she asked, eagerly waiting for my response. Last week I was very ready and excited but now, it looks like I will back out any time.

"Dear?! Answer me!"

“Faye, I am so done with you. This is enough. Stop making fun of me; it's not fun anymore. "Ohhhh, stop showing me that drama. Go, go. It's already eight o'clock. You must go, or else you'll be late. And if that happens, your client will never-“

“Okay, fine. I'll go. "

She smiled at me ear to ear. Faye uses her dad's motorcycle to accompany me to the coffee shop where Mr. Camero told me we would meet up. He said that he wanted to talk to me personally before I did the mural painting.

Faye waved goodbye to me as she watched me enter the coffee shop. She said that she'd just fetch me after my meeting.

I roamed my eyes and saw that Mr. Camero was already there. Omg! I'm late.

"Hello, Sir. Good morning. Sorry, I'm late. "

"Ahh, no. I just came here. Don't worry."

My face lit up after he said that.

"Hmm, where do we start?"

"A-Ahh. I don't really know, Si. I'm nervous. hahaha, " I feign a laugh to cover my nervousness.

“Don't feel nervous. I don't eat people, "he replied. We both chuckled. “Ahh, since you're here with me, why don't we just come to my house so I can show you the walls I want you to paint? Hmm? What do you think? "

"My pleasure, Sir."

"Kay, let's go."

We rode in his car, and it only took 15 minutes to get over to Mr. Camero's place.

I can't keep my mouth shut as we enter the house. The exterior appears simple, but the interior was opulent. Wow, just wow.

I'm hesitant to go on. Every corner of the house and different things screams perfection, and I'm worried that I couldn't perfect my paintings here. What if I make a mistake? Please don't.

"Vadi, come here."

"Vadi?... It's Vida, Sir."

Oh, hahaha. Sorry, I forgot. "

But suddenly, his phone rang. He excused to me and said that he just needed to answer the call for a while.

I kept looking at the surroundings because I couldn't get enough of them. And there was something that caught my eyes. It's a family picture, I guess.

I walked closer to the frame and stared at it. There are four in all: Mr. Camero and Mrs. Camero, their daughter and son.

"Nice," I uttered to myself. "How I wish I could be able to look at my family picture like this," I smiled bitterly.

But my eyes widened as I recognized the son of Mr. Camero. "No. This can't be happening. M-Maybe a look alike ??" I tried to convince myself.

"Vadi, let's go to the 2nd floor."

I came back to my senses when Sir Camero called me. I immediately nodded at him and followed him upstairs.

Wait, did he just call me again 'Vadi'? Is it that hard my name to pronounce?

"Nanny, please prepare some snacks for us" Sir Camero ordered the maid who passed us.

He led me to a pure white room, it looked like it was just being painted. Shit, the room was too big!

"Vadi, this is the room I'm talking to you."

"The whole room, Sir? I mean I'll paint all the walls here in this room?"

"Yeah. Can you?"

"O-of course, Sir. When do I start? "

He looked at his watch and then at me. “Ahm, it's up to you. Anytime, if you're free. I'm not in a rush anyway. "

"M'kay, Sir. Since your house is not too far from my apartment, I'll just come here every day after my classes. Is it okay with you, Mr. Camero? "

"Definitely fine for me. But I don't know if my son would agree.

My forehead wrinkled. "What do you mean, Sir?"

Ah, sorry I didn't tell you yet. This room belongs to my son, and you still have to talk to him for agreement. "

"What? Why have you never told me, Sir? I thought you were my client here. "

Yeah, I am. But I just want to consult my son about the theme he wants or the style he prefers, since he is the owner of this room. What's wrong with that? " He gave me a puzzled look.

Am I being rude?

"Gosh, Vida you haven't confirmed yet if Dion and his son are one. Stop overreacting," my mind said.

I took a deep breath then nodded to Mr. Camero.

"Okay, I'll just call my son and you just wait him. If that's alright with you?"

"Yeah. It's fine, Sir."

He then went down and left me alone. Afterwards the maid came in and gave me fries, ice cream and orange juice in a tray.

"Thank you," I said to the maid. She looks like in 40's, but still looking gorgeous.

""You're...Vadi right?"

I almost spit the juice from my mouth. What's so special with Vadi? Why they call me by that name?? Argh it sounds cringe to me.

Sorry, but I am not Vadi. It's Vida. Vida Resores. "

She was stunned.

"R-Resores?"

“Yeah. Why? What's wrong with my surname? "

"Nothing," she said, shaking her head a few times. "Enjoy your snacks, Vida, I have to go."

She smiled at me, so did I.

And I was left alone again.

So I took out my phone and browsed the internet to keep myself entertained. I opened my messenger and Faye had a lot of messages for me. I read it and it's all about encouraging me and saying some quotes and bible verses. I am so blessed to have a best friend like her.

"Is that your boyfriend?"

"No."

Seriously? Then why are you smiling ear to ear? "

"Ugh, why do you care? — Fvck! " I just realized that I am talking to someone. And that person is a jerk!

Why are you here? What are you doing here?

"Huh? I'm here because my dad called me. Obviously, this is our house, so why are we surprised? "

Gosh, I wasn't wrong at all. That jerk is the son of my client. I want to quit now.

In case you don't know me yet, I'm Cole Dion Camero. "Eighteen-year-old and the son of Mr. Bruce Camero. "

"Aish, as if I care," I replied irritated. I should get going. I've already decided that I'll cancel this negotiation. I'm sorry, I added. I stood up and started to walk, but I stopped when he suddenly spoke.

"Hey, but you already agreed to my dad. Wouldn’t that look rude if you just walk away from me?... just like what you did before? "

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Watch your words, Miss. That's not pleasant to hear."

I stared at him. Is it final, Vida? Will you refuse this opportunity? You know that you'll gain enough money or more that you can use for your needs. Also, do you want to disappoint Lola Clarita and your best friend? They depend on you, Vida. Think of it.

I shut my eyes. I didn't know what to do.

"F-Fine. I'll do it. Let's talk about the agreement. "

"Good... Sit down and let's talk about it. "

If not only for my loved ones, I won't accept this job.

Please?”“Wait ngae.” Tumigil s’ya sandali at pinagmasdan ako mula ulo hanggang paa. “May nangyari ba?

[Dion’s Point of View]“What’s happening here?”“D-Dion…” As I remember, last week lang nang may nakaaway s’yang sophomore. He’s not learning…“VicePres, this trash started the chaos. S’ya dapat ang pagsabihan mo,” Hazel stated referring to Vida, who is now looking away from me. I was silent for a moment, pinagmasdan ko muna silang lahat saka napabuntong-hininga. “Do you guys even know why you came here? Hindi ba’t may event tayo ngayon? We’re all here to compete, to support and to have fun. Nobody told you to start a chaos just to ruin this event. Isn’t it the rule here?” I remained firm and serious while saying those words. “Outsider ka man o hindi, if you can’t respect the rules in this campus, then you are free to leave. JUST LEAVE…”“Pero bago kayo umalis, you have to come first in the guidance office.

[Vida's Point of View]"Faye, ayaw ko nga.

[Dion’s Point of View]“Can I come with you? Please, please.”Here we go, again.“Dion, just let her. Darating sila Gov. Padua at Mayor Del Monte this afternoon, sa restaurant natin nila napiling dumiretso para kumain. So, we have to accommodate them lalo pa at marami-rami na ulit ang ating customers,”ani Mommy.“Yes, Mom. I knew it. But Cindy can’t really accompany me. Busy ako mamaya sa school, hindi ko rin s’ya maaasikaso-““As if magpapaasikaso ako? C’mon, Cole. I am not a kiddo anymore. I just wanted to come with you para manood ng activities n’yo sa Intrams. So, why are you not letting me? May tinatago ka ba?” I just scratched the back of my neck in disgust. Hindi naman sa ayaw ko talaga, I just have this feeling na baka may mangyari kapag nagpumilit s’yang sumama.“Cole, please?” Pero ano pa ba ang magagawa ko? Mukhang ayaw n’ya papigil. I know she won’

Ano bang magagawa ko?"You've been here before?" tanong ni Kuya Vincent."Huh? Ah—oo, Kuya. • When the Artist meets the Poet   Chapter 29-When You Can't Do Anything But Get Hurt

"Vida, I really need your help. "Hey, Vida? Don't end the call
