REBECCA POV

The impact knocked them both unconscious.

I had just arrived when I saw them lying there, their bodies still. My heart was pounding in my chest.

And then, a thought struck me.

Blake was unconscious. Adeline was unconscious.

No one saw what happened.

No one knew that Adeline was the one who saved him.

Slowly, I walked forward and sat beside Blake. I brushed the dirt from my clothes and steadied my breathing.

When he woke up, his eyes were dazed and confused. His head turned, and the first person he saw was me.

"Rebecca?" His voice was weak.

I forced tears into my eyes and nodded quickly. "Blake… you're awake. Thank God!"

He frowned slightly, struggling to sit up.

"What happened?"

I hesitated, then took his hand. "You fell… and I caught you. You hit your head, but I stayed with you."
