Chapter 31: Speak Your Truth
As Charles arrived at the edge of the core, the others were already waiting for him on the platform nearby. It was a strange feeling for Charles to be both at the beginning of the end and at the very site where Jill met her end. There was no time to dwell on things outside of his control however as there were more important things to do.
“I need to focus on removing each layer of security before we get to the core itself. After that, I need to focus on bringing Jill back. Use the hover disks you got from Tech Town and stay close but keep your eyes peeled.” Charles explained.

The juggernaut's realm was vast with many small cities. The area Logan was seen in was nothing more than a dock filled with boats and warehouses. It wasn’t going to be easy to find him. Jill had enough of just about everything at this point and so she did the only thing she could.To prepare for what had to be done, she took a small sample of Cassidy’s potion and used it to build a small device. All Cassidy could do was sit and watch as Jill walked out of the core. She reached out her hand, desperate to grab hold of her but stopped herself. She knew she had to let her go so all she could do was clutch onto her backpack and keep it safe. The next five minutes would be the most fear she ever felt in her entire life.The countdown hit zero and the core locked itself down. Officially no way in or out and everything went dark. The core shut down and violent tremors began within. There wasn’t anything they could do but hope it would work out. Jill, before resetting everything, also made sure to destroy any external connections both from her father's hacking and her own computers.
