Chapter Twenty-six

I pick myself up from where I am left, again, in a dark alley, in the middle of nowhere. I start walking towards the boulevard, suddenly there was some sort of climate change as the night breeze turns chilling on my bare skin.

I endured the cold air as I found a means of shelter at the restaurant across the street, walking into the diner, I carefully took a seat right next to the window while blowing some warm air into my hands with my mouth.

" Hello, what can I get for you?" I heard a voice say and I turn to find a lady dressed in casual jeans and a black crop-top, 

She wore a frown on her face, that compliments the dark shade of lipstick she was wearing. She had this mean temperament, I felt awkward talking to her. " Umm....hi, can I get a cup of coffee please!" 

" What kind?"

" Huh?" I barely understand what she meant.

" I mean what kind do you prefer, how do you like your coffee, expresso, De cafe or......"
