"Lunch?" he invited me, and I agreed. He took me to his office, and when we got there, there was already food prepared on his coffee table. The view of the vast Manila Bay was clearly visible from there.

"Wow, you really went to all this trouble, huh?" I asked him. He sat me down on the couch, then he sat across from me. He just shrugged and smiled.

"Of course. I'll be having you for today, so I also prepared our lunch." Fake.

"Okay," we started eating, and I calmed myself down. I still haven't gotten over what he told me last month. He said he was already decided on his decision to get us out of there for their project next year.

"I won't prolong this conversation, Harveel. I'm not selling the land." I started our conversation.

"I know. I knew you'd say that. I won't bother you about your land anymore." My eyes seemed to light up when I heard that.

"Are you sure about that? I know how you do business, and I know it's fucking dirty."

"Yes, no conditions, anything." I know he's up to something bad. I don't want to join his game. I know I'll lose.

"I'm not planning anything, and I'm not playing with you," he sincerely said, which I didn't believe. He's hard to trust, especially with this.

"I don't trust you with this. I know you're not playing fair, but I have everything recorded. Once you make a mistake in what you're saying, you'll have me as your opponent."
