I couldn't stay still where I was standing while waiting for my friend, Sedrick, at our favorite hangout place. I never expected that he would be the first one to call me and invite me to eat out.

Between the two of us, I was always the one inviting him to eat or hang out outside just so I could be with him. But now, he was the one who asked me out, which made me extremely happy. I couldn't explain what I was feeling because of how happy I was.

I wore my most beautiful dress for that day, and I was also planning to tell him how I really felt about him. That's why I made sure to fix myself properly.

"Akira!!"

I froze when I heard Sed's voice. I fixed my hair first and took a deep breath before finally looking in his direction.

Even from afar, he was already waving at me, and I could clearly see his happy face and the smile I had always admired.

I smiled even more when he started jumping while waving at me. I was about to raise my hand to wave back when I suddenly stopped after seeing a woman come out from behind him.

Sed looked at her happily. My smile faded even more when he held the woman's hands and started walking toward me.

"Sorry, Aki. We just arrived. Athena took so long to get ready," he said immediately.

But it was as if I didn't hear anything. I remained staring at their hands that were tightly holding each other.

"Have you been here for a while?" he asked.

It felt like everything around me stopped, and I didn't know how to react in front of them.

"Aki?!" he called my name again.

"Aki?!" he called once more and held my shoulder, instantly bringing me back to reality.

I immediately looked into the woman's eyes, who was also staring at me, then I turned my gaze to Sed, who was smiling happily at me.

"Ah-sorry, Sed. I just remembered something," I replied with a forced smile.

"What was it that you said again? I wasn't listening," I added while picking at my nails.

"Tsk, Aki," he said while shaking his head. "I said sorry we were late. Have you been here long?"

"Ah-no. I just arrived too," I lied, even though the truth was I had been there for a while waiting for him.

"Oh right, Aki. This is Athena Dezon, my girlfriend," he said happily while introducing her.

A sharp pain immediately struck my heart, but I ignored it and forced a smile. I stood straight and introduced myself properly.

"Nice to 'fucking' meet you, Athena," I said with a smile while extending my hand, which she immediately accepted. "I'm Christella Akira Reyes, Sed's childhood friend."

"Oh, so you're the one Sed always talks about," she replied flirtatiously. "It's nice to meet you, Aki."

Tsk, the nerve of her to call me by my second name! We're not close, girl. I'll slap you, I thought to myself while smiling again.

I froze when she suddenly moved closer and wrapped her arm around mine. I looked at that crazy woman who was happily clinging to my arm.

"Let's eat, baby," she said to Sed.

I could only smirk in the air. Baby my ass. Fuck you, girl.

Sed immediately agreed with his crazy girlfriend, so I had no choice but to agree as well.

We went to Jollibee since it was the nearest place. While we were eating, I kept looking at them because they were so sweet while eating together, and here I was wanting to pull the hair of that crazy woman who wasn't even that pretty.

As I watched them eat happily, my chest slowly started to hurt, like it was being punched repeatedly.

"Akira!!"

I snapped back to reality when Sed tapped my shoulder. I looked into his eyes.

"I've been calling your name five times, but no matter how much I called you, you were still spacing out," he said with a frown.

"What's wrong with you? You've been like that since earlier," he added.

"Ah-sorry, I was just thinking about something," I said stuttering, then immediately stood up. "I'm just going to the restroom."

I left without waiting for his reply.

When I entered the restroom, the tears I had been holding back immediately fell.

What's wrong with you, Akira? Why are you jealous of them? You don't even have the right, I told myself.

I lowered my head and washed my face so they wouldn't notice that I cried. As I was wiping my face with tissue, a woman entered.

I stopped and looked at the door. It was that crazy woman, holding a bottle of water and wearing a wide grin as she walked toward me. I raised one eyebrow.

"So you're the one Sed always talks about," she said mockingly while looking at me from head to toe.

"Hah! I even got jealous when you're not even that pretty," she laughed while shaking her head.

"You were fun to watch earlier, like a soaked chick while watching the love story of the man you love."

I was shocked when she suddenly poured the water she was holding over herself.

"Are you crazy?!" I asked in confusion.

She just smiled even more, so I shook my head.

"I feel sorry for the man I love for having a crazy girlfriend," I said and left her in the restroom.

When I got out, I immediately saw Sed busy on his phone. I fixed myself and was about to call him when Athena suddenly bumped into me.

I froze when she pretended to fall. I frowned even more when I noticed her messy hair and torn clothes.

"What the fuck-"

"Ahh! Akira! I just wanted to be friends with you. Why did you push me?" she cried.

"I just wanted to be friends with my boyfriend's friend, but you suddenly splashed water on me and slapped me," she added.

People started looking at us, and some were even taking videos.

"She's so harsh."

"That poor woman."

"Maybe she's jealous because she didn't become her friend's girlfriend."

"What are you talking about, Athena? I didn't do anything bad to you," I asked with a frown.

"Are you jealous because you like Sedrick?" she said, ignoring me.

"Athena!" Sed called. "Akira! Why did you hurt Athena?!"

"I didn't do anything. She fell on her own," I explained, but he only got angrier.

"I just wanted to talk to you, but you slapped me and you said you like Sed and that we should break up because Sedrick belongs to you!" she said while pretending to cry.

"Is it true, Akira?! Do you really like me that you would hurt Athena?!" Sed shouted angrily as he walked closer.

"I-I didn't-" I stopped and my eyes widened when he suddenly slapped me.

People gasped.

"Is that true?"

"She didn't even push her."

"Did you really say that?"

"I'm asking you, Akira! Is what Athena said true?!" he shouted angrily.

I looked into his eyes and couldn't stop myself from crying.

"Yes! Sedrick, what that crazy woman said is true!" I shouted angrily.

"But it's not true that I hurt her! She went into the restroom and poured water on herself!"

"And you don't have the right to hurt her--" i cut him off with a slapped

" but you especially don't have the right to hurt me. Fuck you!"

"I love you, Sedrick, but that doesn't mean I would hurt a crazy person like your girlfriend!"

"You know me since we were kids. You know I keep my feelings to myself! You're so stupid for believing a woman you just met over your friend of twenty years!"

"And you, you fucking liar! Since you want to be crazy, let's make it real!"

I slapped her five times on both cheeks and dragged her.

"Sedrick! Your crazy friend is hurting me!" she screamed.

"You deserve it, you liar!"

"Best actress material!" people said.

I pushed her and poured water on her.

"You wanted to make me look bad in front of your disgusting boyfriend. Fine, let's make your craziness real!"

I walked away while crying nonstop.

My name is Christella Akira Mendeza, 25 years old. It has been eight years since I last heard any news about my friend, Blake Sedrick Villacorte.

Since the day I confessed my feelings to him, he never spoke to me again nor showed himself to me. Because of that, I was deeply hurt.

So when I found out that their company had gone bankrupt, I immediately went to Daddy and Mommy's office to beg them to help my friend's family. But Mommy demanded something in return-something that made Sed even angrier.

"And why would we invest in a company that's already failing, Christella?" Mommy said angrily.

That's how Mommy is when it comes to business. You can't convince her in situations like this. She won't waste time on things she sees as hopeless-even if it's a friend asking for help.

Mommy is kind, but when it comes to business, it's like you don't even recognize the person in front of you.

"Mom, please! You know I've liked hi-"

"Yes, you've liked that man for a long time. That's why when you confessed to him, he left you. And now you expect me to help the man who hurt my daughter?!" she cut me off angrily.

I lowered my head in shame after Mommy said that. Even Daddy looked down, because when Mommy is like this, he knows there's no way to soften her heart.

"My child, just find a man who will love you. There are many out there who like you. Don't waste your beauty on that worthless man."

"Mom, please. I'll do everything you want if you help Sedrick's family," I begged, looking straight into her eyes.

"You'll do everything? Is that how much you want that man?" she asked. I nodded repeatedly.

"Fine. I'll agree-but only if you marry that man," she added, making me freeze.

"But Mom! You know Sed doesn't love me! And even if-"

"I don't care, Christelle. If you don't want to follow what I want, then we have nothing more to discuss."

"Hon, that condition is too much. You know your daughter will only get hurt if-" Daddy bravely tried to interfere.

Mommy angrily turned to him and shouted, "Be quiet, Leonardo! I'm not talking to you!"

Daddy lowered his head again and just shook it.

"Leave this place, Christella, if you don't wa-"

"I'll do it," I cut her off with my eyes closed.

"Really?!"

"Akira!" they both shouted, but I looked at Daddy first to gather strength. I met his eyes and smiled, telling him, 'It's okay, Dad. I'll handle myself.'

"You'll really do anything, huh?! Just to have me" Ethan shouted at me angrily and laughingly as we arrived at our destination house.

"You're really that desperate to get me, huh, Akira?" he shouted again, making me look down, wanting to speak up and explain myself, but my mouth wouldn't cooperate.

"I admit, I made a mistake 8 years ago, but it's been a long time, Aki!! It's been a long time" he approached me closer and pointed at me, spewing hurtful words

"but you can't do anything because she's the one I love!! Why is it so hard for you to accept the truth that I love her, not you?! YOU'RE JUST A FRIEND!!" he continued, making tears finally fall from my eyes

. "Hahaha, you even timed it perfectly, during my family's crisis" I closed my eyes as he suddenly gripped my arms tightly 'Stop, Ethan, you're hurting me' I whispered in my mind.

"Ahhh! Oh, maybe you were the one who planned this for my family just to get me" he said sarcastically.

"N-no, it's n-not like that, Ethan" I stuttered "I-I didn't do anything to your family, p-promise, I just w-wanted to h-help you, that's all" I added, trembling, still with my eyes closed.

"Wow!!! Wow, Akira, I didn't know you're such a great actress now!?? You're so good at lying, bravo, bravooo!!" he laughed, clapping in front of me, then stopped and held my chin, making our eyes meet.

"You planned everything from the start, and you're so good, Akira, you got me, are you happy now? We're married, even though I don't feel anything for you" I saw anger and disgust in his eyes.

"Is this what you wanted?"

he kissed me, but it wasn't a loving kiss, it was rough and hurtful, so I pushed him away.

"Ethan, you're hurting me"

I struggled,

"p-please, s-stop---"

but instead of listening, he pushed me onto the sofa and continued kissing me, his hands gripping my arms tightly, his nails digging into my skin. I couldn't take it anymore and bit him, making him pull away, and I slapped him twice.

"You're not the Ethan I knew as a friend !!"

I said, struggling.

"Right, we're just friends, but why did it get to this point, Akira?"

he calmed down, looking at me with his piercing eyes

"we were happy as friends, weren't we? Friends a---"

I cut him off.

"You're right! Ethan, we're just friends,I AM YOU'R FRIEND"

I said, trying to stop him.

"And I'm so stupid for falling for my best friend, what's wrong with me, Ethan? I didn't forget about you, even when I had problems, I was still there for you, listening to your problems, weren't I always there when you got hurt, when you struggled, especially when the girls you said you loved left you!!"

I continued, hitting his chest

"Did you ever hear me? Did you ever ask your friend if she's okay?! If she has a problem... no, you didn't, but I still stayed by your side!"

"Because you're everything to me, Ethan, and I'm so stupid for still loving my best friend who betrayed our friendship because of a girl he says he loves!!"

"And it's so crazy, making the biggest mistake of falling in love with my best friend?!"

I ended,when i didn't get no response from him, so I pushed him away and left him in the living room. I went to my room and cried until I fell asleep. EVERYTHING WENT BLACK
