Seeing a team of analysts directing their eyes on him, he was more than a little stressed out. Most of them were his seniors, both in practice and in age, too. It was not a good thing to twist things around here…
“I-I think that-that it is perhaps recognizing him as one of them”
“Yep, what else do you think”
“The material-I mean, the things on him disappeared. Probably means we can’t take anything from our side. Just as the government cannot use any weapon against it effectively. The same reason is behind it”
The president was still looking at him. He had some more things in mind, but he did not know what this person wanted from him.
‘Just give me some hints, big brother’
Allen continued, “Um, I think it is better to observe what happens with the injection and all, awe got it from… the animals, right?”
The president was smiling a bit and then said
“Alright. That was not everything that I have gathered all of you for. There is one additional thing. The government took these samples from the creatures that had been killed. Since there were only a few hundred of them, it was quite a work to get these things into my hand. I was thinking of what to do from here. Others matters already occupy the other researchers, right?'“
He smilingly looked at the people present. Most of them looked at him and gulped and just nodded along with him. The president continued,
“So, I was thinking someone who did not have any responsibilities among the people present could take on this task, and make a team with other researchers. Mr. Allen, maybe you can take this task for us. What do you think?”
Was there even anything room left to think? He was just going to nod along too, just like all the others were doing, like a hen moving their heads. But the president suddenly said.
“The meeting is over. Mr: Allen, you can reply to me later.” He made his assistant deal with Allen after that.
That was a load off of him, for now. He just went to his room, did some online scanning about the things that he had seen in the meeting. There was nothing he could find out.
‘Definitely, a weird liquid that was‘ Allen unknowingly fell unconscious because of exhaustion while in the middle of doing that.
… After that, he found himself at the same place that he had lost consciousness in, with the person who they had met in the institute for a few moments. There was no one else in there even though Allen could kind of remember there were other there too, but he was too drowsy. He could not even lift his body properly, he could somewhat see the same man that had met them coming closer to him wit ha syringe in his hand. The man slowly got close to him and injected the syringe into him. That was the most he could remember from the scene. What happened next was that he could feel some kind of vibration as someone was running while carrying him. Soon, before he could figure out the last spot they ended up, he woke up in bed shocked.
He looked at the spot that had the syringe inserted and, for a moment, seeing nothing relieved him. But, he could faintly see some kind of spot that had the sign of injection on it on closer observation. He looked at it and his face turned a little scrunched up with mixed feelings of shock, surprise and fear.
It looked like he had to be serious about the matter of the project that the president had discussed with him, Allen thought while looking at the contact of the president’s assistant that he had received.
Allen immediately called and signed the deal, assuring that he would do the honor to the task.
Only after the call finished and he lay down in bed again in the middle of the night, ‘he could see that he was very impatient in calling just now. Maybe that could be described more as strong, decisive, but he was sure that was not his character. What happened?’
Not to mention that Allen was not feeling very sleepy right now and that he could see some strange light in the night.
‘It is beautiful’ is all he could say about that. It was in the lands, in the skies, and it was flowing from one end to another. That was not a regular phenomenon. He hurriedly searched for it but ended up with no result. He took a picture to ask about it, but the camera… was not showing anything of that sort.
‘This will not be good’ Allen thought, being both worried and amazed at seeing this river of light flow.
The monkey stared at the lion. It said “What do you mean? You want to drop out?”The lion said “Yes. The taller guy is like a professional hunter. We have come so close to him, but he hasn’t responded in any way till now. I suspect some trap.”“You are right in saying that there is a trap. But I am not settling down without giving them troubles now and then.”
Allen asked Jack the new video guy to come and meet him somewhere close by. Sitting in a café, Allen saw many people entering and exiting. Among them was a man who was on the phone as he entered. Allen signaled to him and the guy came to him.Allen said “Jack I assume? It’s a pleasure to meet you. I hope you had a nice journey till here”The other man said “Yes. I am Jack, Sir Allen. And yes, glad to meet you and hope you are doing well also.”Allen said, “Then I assume that we can talk about the project a little bit?”Jack said, “Yes, I understand some aspects but some questions are still there.”Allen said “Can you kindly repeat the things that I said about the project. It will help me know where we stand right now.”“The project has a specific audience that is students of science and the project is supposed to be a call to acti
Allen turned around a corner and started to walk fast. There were people following him now and then. The last time he saw them, they were wearing formal black suits. The times they followed him most were when there were a lot fewer people around the area. That’s why Allen tried to keep himself in crowded areas throughout the day and for the night, he had taken a room in a crowded place also.As he came near the entrance, Allen took off the extra overcoat, the glasses, the hat, and the mustache and threw them away in a bag. He entered the building and went to his room hiding among a few other people. Looking from the window of his room, he saw a man wearing a black formal suit coming inside. Allen went downstairs and sat on a seat somewhere from where he could observe the man. The suited man asked the man at the counter something, the man at the counter replied in negative to whatever the man in a suit asked. And then the man went away without look
He needed to launch “Video Streaming”, the domain’s version of Nettflix here to accomplish his task. The content was already quite a lot of content in the market. He hence had to provide them with new and better stuff, and he took this challenge. He looked at the prices of some directors, and they were way above his reach. Some other less known directors found his ideas not in the trend and hence they would not sponsor the project. What he did was he searched for the closet film production university that was accepting admissions and made his camp there. Allen waited for the exam to finish and, by looking at the faces of the people who came outside, he already guessed who was thinking what. He picked some of them, taking advantage of the fact that they were in an excited emotional state. He talked to multiple of them and got their numbers. After that wa
Casually skimming through one, it took him a few hours to get to its last. Looking at the other two, he took a quick break by noting down some terms in his electric notepad. After a quick summary, he then read the second book, reading to its half, he left it there. He got a general idea for the day. This country had quite bad ties with another neighboring country of its. Both of the countries were split from a single country a few centuries ago, and they had feuds in between them based on their respective ideologies. The other country had, over the centuries, progressed more than them, because of their flexible ideology. The people of this country, although disliked it, could not or did not make a strong attempt enough to break this trend. Most of the things here were copies of the other country. &
After what seemed like a few mins, he opened his eyes as a student, as a university student this time.Allen now thankfully had enough clues to figure out what game this domain wanted him to play. It was making him go from one education age to another, primary to secondary, making him face the wall of tests again and again. Then, it gave him some buffer time by sending him to a free time of the high school year. He admitted. He was getting side-tracked as time went by because the vision and goal that he wanted to accomplish had become blurry after several months. The drive behind everything that he did before was almost gone. The major problem was that the memories of his were not fully available and hence he could not get himself to do a lot, as he was losing his steam, his motivation. Now, with the clearest idea since the time he came into the domain, his purpose became a lot clear again. It boosted his drive. He wrote down the things that he n
