Chapter Nineteen

I couldn’t believe that I’d actually been able to settle down on the top of my bedcovers, after getting dressed in a comfy pair of sweats and a tee shirt, and fall back to sleep after all that  had happened, but I did.  I assumed it was from all of the alcohol in my system. Or, it could have been from all of the  oxytocin that was released into my brain from the torrid number of orgasms that I’d experienced from sex with both Godwin and Cindy.  Whatever the reason, I slept like a baby.

I awoke to the sound of the fierce howling of wolves outside of the house.  Cindy was nowhere to be found, so I raced onto the mezzanine and called out for someone to tell me what was happening.

Cindy was wild eyed when she ran from the direction of the kitchen to the bottom of the stairs and looked up at me. “Michael is here.  He’s got a small army with him.  He’s demanding that they give you and me to him.”
