Jhoanna’s POV

The growl outside turned into an explosion of noise—screeches, snarls, and the unmistakable sound of something clawing its way into our world. My wolf surged forward, adrenaline rushing through me as I ran to the window. Outside, the pack courtyard had become a battlefield.

The "doorway," as Luna Tilly called it, burned with an unholy light, a swirling mass of black and crimson that seemed alive. Demons poured out of it—monstrous creatures with jagged limbs and glowing red disgusting eyes. Their presence made the air heavy, suffocating, as though the world itself recoiled from their existence.

Hans burst into the room, his face a mask of determination. "Jhoanna, get out of here! It’s too dangerous!”

But before I could respond, a hulking demon crashed through the infirmary wall, its claws glinting with black ichor. Its elongated body moved with a sickening grace, and its guttural roar echoed in my chest. I shoved Hans back, my wolf already clawing to surface.
