save me, Ed

Head to toe the person was dressed in black. As Eddy scanned the person from bottom to top, he was about to look into his eyes but suddenly the person turned to the other side.

"You scared me man. Who are you? Was the theme of the party to wear a mask? But I didn’t see anyone with a mask?" Eddy questioned in astonishment.

"Don't sign the contract. It will not do good to you," the person in the mask said with back turned towards Eddy.

“What?” Eddy got a double shock. First for hearing the person and second was the voice was of a female not male.

“I am telling you the truth. I don;t want any harm on you,” said the person again.

"Why are you saying this? Who are you?" inquired Eddy glancing at the person’s back with his wide eyes.

"Right now to know who I am is not that important, what important is you better find a way to not sign this contract. You need to be careful," the person warned again.

"I don't know what you are talking about and honestly speaking I am not interested in any of your talks about the contract. I know very well about this contract,” said Eddy with full confidence.

“You are not getting me…” as the person turned towards Eddy, he glanced at the direction from where Mark called him out, “CEO Eddy, Sire is waiting for you.”

“I am coming,” replied Eddy and glanced back at the person but she was not there.

Eddy was shocked. “Why do people have to disappear from my sight these days?" mumbled Eddy looking around.

"Everything alright, CEO?" Mark questioned Eddy seeing a perplexed expression on his face.

Eddy nodded and said "Yeah, everything is fine. Let's go."

Just as Selina closed her secret cupboard, Ali entered the room and closed the door behind her. She then walking towards Selina inquired, “is everything alright?”

"Ali, we cannot let him sign the contract. We should stop this anyhow. He is not going to listen to me. What am I going to do?" pacing back and forth Selina mumbled.

"You went to talk to him, a while ago, isn’t it? What did he say?" inquired Ali with her eyes following Selina.

"He is not ready to give up this deal, he has made up his mind to sign it anyhow," replied Selina, dropping on her bed anxiously.

"Then let him sign. After all, he is also a human. He is same as all the others," suggested Ali.

Selina stood on her feet desperately and said, "No, Ali he is not. He is different. The first time when I saw him in the woods, he helped me to escape from the vampires. I read his eyes, Ali. And for the first time I found his eyes very different from all those eyes of humans. There was no cheating, no hatred, no domination, in his eyes. His eyes… His eye was a book which I wanted to read repeatedly to soothe myself.”

"No, Selina, we are not talking about eyes, we are talking about humans and I am telling you, all humans are the same. You better stay away from them," warned Ali in a strict voice.

"Please, try to understand,” Selina sat back on the bed and added, “he is not bad. He is not what we think. He is different, I can feel it. Please, suggest something,  how can I stop him from signing this contract. If this contract is final then…”

Selina’s words were interrupted by the sudden knock on the door. Both Ali and Selina passed a glance before Ali walked to the door and pulled it.

"Selina, you are still not ready? Sire is waiting for you. He wants you to be present right now," Mark said soon after he saw Selina not dressed up for the party.

Selina in an upset tone said, "I will be there in a while."

“Okay! You better hurry,” suggested Mark before turning back and walking away.

When Ali closed the door and turned around, Selina gave a helpless look to her.

"We cannot do anything now, Selina. Get ready we must be downstairs otherwise you know your father," Suma suggested in a helpless tone.

Selina had no other choice than getting ready and going downstairs to see Eddy stepping one step ahead towards his destruction. So after a while she was seen coming down in her red gown looking very fabulous.

When Eddy caught her glimpse he was not able to take off his gaze away from her. He was totally lost seeing her beauty. Jack stepped forward and extended his hand to help her walk. Eddy’s eyes were fixed on her until she came and stood beside him.

The time of singing came. The arrangements were done. Selina's heart pounded, chills ran through her whole body. She didn’t want the contract to be signed but she had nothing to do to stop it from happening.

When they stood surrounding the table with the file on it, Eddy fetched the pen but suddenly, his cell phone rang.

“I am so sorry,” Eddy apologized, retrieving his phone from his pocket and glanced at the number.

His eyes widened seeing the caller id, ‘Eva…”

"Excuse me,Sir. I need to take this call, it's urgent,” said Eddy glancing at Jack.

Though Jack was not having the patience but still trying to calm himself down, he nodded, “sure, sure…”

“Thank you for understanding,” Eddy said and walked to the corner to answer the call.

Pressing the answer button Eddy tucked the phone on his ear, “hello!”

Suddenly Eva cried out in a scared tone, "Ed, there is someone in our house. He is trying to kill me Ed, save me, save me, Ed."

“What? What are you talking about, Ev…” Eddy was trying to have the conversation but the call got disconnected.

Chills ran through his body and he was in great panic. He dialed Eva’s number again but she didn't pick.
