Third person's POV...

Tracy’s eyes widened. “Well… actually… I um…,” she cleared her throat and looked down. "I came here looking for him.”

Alina’s brows furrowed. “Looking for him?”

Just then, another voice spoke from behind. “Did you two have a fight?”

Tracy turned. Darren was walking out of the kitchen with a glass of water in his hand.

“Sorry?” Tracy said nervously.

His eyes were fixed on her. “I asked if you two had a fight.”

Tracy looked down at her sleeve and fiddled with the fabric.

Darren was walking out of the kitchen with a glass of water in his hand.“Sorry?” Tracy said nervously. His eyes were fixed on her. “I asked if you two had a fight.”Tracy looked down at her sleeve and fiddled with the fabric.“Yes, sir,” she admitted quietly.“What did that son of mine do now?” Darren scoffed. “I’m going to punish him properly this time. Maybe I should take the company away from him temporarily.”Tracy’s head snapped up. “No, no, sir!” she said quickly, shaking her head and her hands in the air.“He didn’t do anything wrong.” She hesitated. “It was actually my fault.”Her voice softened. “I… made him angry.”There was a brief silence. Tracy lowered her head.“The things I said that day… I shouldn’t hav

Third Person POV…It had been two weeks. Two long weeks. And Tracy hadn’t seen Adrian. He hadn’t called her. He hadn’t texted her. They hadn’t run into each other anywhere, not at the office, not on the streets, nowhere. He never even came to the office again for business on how she would ‘cover his tracks’. It was almost as if he had completely vanished from her world. The engagement announcement they had talked about before their fight had never been mentioned again. It seemed like it had once been important to him, yet now there was nothing. No calls. No messages. Nothing.Tracy sighed softly as she stared at her phone for what felt like the hundredth time that day.The screen was blank. No notifications. No missed calls. She slowly placed the headset back on her desk and leaned back in her chair.“Wait… why am I even expecting his message?” she muttered to herself. Her brows furrowed. “What’s wrong with me?” She exhaled deeply.“I told him to stay away from me… to be more respons

Third person's POV…The car ride was quiet. The only sound filling the car was the low hum of the engine as Adrian drove steadily down the road.Tracy sat beside him, staring blankly through the window as buildings and trees blurred past her vision. But she wasn’t really seeing any of it. Her mind was somewhere else. The old woman’s voice echoed in her head.‘You’ve already met him… the one who will lead your destiny to fortune’ Tracy swallowed. Her fingers slowly curled against her lap. Don’t push him away. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Then another line followed in her mind.‘Don’t go for the path that leads to destruction’Her brows furrowed as she glanced sideways at Adrian. His expression was calm, focused entirely on the road ahead. Her thoughts tangled together. Is Adrian the path to fortune… or the path to destruction? Her head suddenly felt too full.“Aish!” she blurted under her breath in frustration.Adrian immediately snapped his head slightly toward her.“What is

Third person's POV...Later that evening…The marine park buzzed with quiet activity. Tracy stood beside one of the water tanks, sleeves rolled up as she carefully cleaned the large glass surface after draining the water.Once she finished, she gently placed several small aquatic creatures back inside. The marine center was hosting a fundraiser that week. Their goal was to raise enough money to rescue more abandoned sea animals and provide shelter, food, and care for them.Tracy volunteered there whenever she could.“Excuse me, ma’am?”She turned.A small girl with pigtails stood behind her, looking up with wide hopeful eyes.“Yes, dear?” Tracy said with a warm smile.“Where can I get ice cream?”Tracy chuckled softly and pointed toward a colorful truck nearby.“See that truck over there? You can get whatever flavor you want.”The girl’s face lit up. “Thank you, ma’am!”“You’re welcome.”Tracy gently ruffled the girl’s hair as she ran off happily. She watched her run off before a fami

Third person's POV…Tracy froze the moment Adrian’s final words fell between them.“Don’t forget your contract… if you want to keep your journalism firm and Aria’s board.”The words echoed in her head like a slap.Slowly, she turned around. Her eyes met Adrian’s immediately, sharp and blazing with anger.“Are you trying to blackmail me now?” she asked coldly.Adrian didn’t respond. He simply stood there, watching her.Tracy took a step toward him.“Are you trying to use the contract against me now?” she continued, her voice rising. “The journalism firm… Aria’s board… is that your game now? You’re trying to tie me down with it?”Adrian didn't blink. He didn't offer a snarky comeback or a playful smirk. He simply stood there, his tall frame casting a long shadow over her."Answer me!" she snapped.“Tracy Bennett.” His voice was cold. So cold it made the air around them feel heavier. His eyes held no emotion at all. “You seem not to know your place anymore.”Tracy gasped. Her hand flew

Third person's POV…“Tracy! Wait, wait, wait! What… what did I just see? You coming down from a man’s car? Tell me everything! Who is he? Don’t miss a single detail. That car? Swoosh! So sleek, so luxurious!”Tracy rolled her eyes but couldn’t help the small smile tugging at her lips.“Mercy, seriously… just stop it,” she said, trying to brush her off.Mercy grabbed her hand and began dragging her toward the glass doors of the company. On the way, Mercy lifted Tracy’s hand, inspecting it like a jeweler examining a diamond.“Look at this,” Mercy gushed. “Look at how soft and expensive your hand looks now. Your skin is literally screaming ‘Billionaire Girlfriend.’ It’s glowing, Tracy!”Tracy forced a smile, feeling a flush of heat creep up her neck. “Just stop it, Mercy. You’re teasing me. I don’t like it”Once they reached the lounge, Mercy practically shoved Tracy into a plush chair and plopped down opposite her. “Now, spill. Everything. Don’t you dare give me the ‘I’m not in the moo

Alina sat curled up on her bed, her forehead resting on her knees, fingers subconsciously tracing the fresh bruise on her neck, right where Aria had choked her the night before.
