"Gwen, " Mary called out nervously. She feels gloomy knowing her friend has so much potential, yet she seems to have become cynical about their dream. They were both second coursers. Gwen is a Marketing graduate while she is from Accountancy. After five years of working on their respective industries they discovered that education is a more lucrative profession therefore they went back on campus and enrolled for additional units to qualify for licensure exam. "I'm sorry Mary. I'm afraid you have to find someone else. I already have made plans with Nick. We'll be traveling for a couple of months. And then I'll rethink about my life plans when we come back." "Are you sure?" Mary can't help but sigh. Hearing that her good friend is back together with her jerk on again off again boyfriend, she feels upset. "Yeah." Gwen replied. Then added, "Why don't you ask Ginnie? She's also still looking for a job." "Oh right, Ginnie. I sure will. But still sweetie, could you at least give it a try?

Gwyneth pulled her car over in front of Holy Trinity Academy. Looking at the campus' main building, she felt an inexplicable mixed feelings. "Calm down, girl. It's just another demo. Nothing like you've never done before. " She took a few deep breaths in her attempt to pacify her inner turmoil. "Let's do this, self. You totally got this." she muttered. "Good afternoon, ma'am. " The security opened the gate and let her in. " May I know your purpose of visit?" He asked as he reach out for the visitor's log on his table.Gwyneth smiled at him. " I'm a teacher applicant. I'm here to see Sister Divina. " The guard was taken aback momentarily. The lady in front of him has shiny, halo-white teeth. She's as pretty as a picture when she smiles.Gwen waved her hand in front of the guard's face. "Manong? Are you alright?" The guard felt mortified so he answered promptly "I see. Walk straight ahead. You'll find Sister Divina's office at the end of this corridor." the guard instructed."Got it.

The demo lasted for an hour. Gwyneth is very pleased with her students. They are all smart and funny. Sister Divina and Mrs. Dimaano seemed to be satisfied with Gwyneth as well. But the latter decided not to think too much and not hold her expectations high. She would rather save herself from further disappointment.Gwyneth took out her phone and dialed Nick's number. It's still early so she thought of swinging by the mall to shop a little and meet up with him later for dinner. Nick's phone is ringing but he did not pick up. "Never mind. Since it is pre-rush hour, the roads are still not very busy. Twenty minutes later, they arrived at the underground parking of the shopping complex.Bayside Shopping Center is the best shopping mall located in the suburbs of Laverna. It's large and newly built. It has 3 floors and a big underground parking. There is usually a great rush of shoppers there. Even people from distant towns are coming to visit the place. The layout of the mall is very impressive. It is spacious and well lighted up. On the third floor is a big leisure complex where restaurants are located.Mary loves pasta so they head straight to The Olive Garden. It is the most exquisite place to eat and is truly the finest Italian restaurant in town.Gwyneth glance around and see the dining tables are strategically set as if the queen were to be expected. White flowers with silver sparkles adorn the tables to add a final touch. The windows that surround the tables present an open feeling, almost as if eating outside. G

Gwyneth drove her car that night. far, far away from Laverna. She didn't want to see or hear anyone she knew. She's already aware of the "I told you so" and the "See, I could tell he wasn't that into you" coming from her friends and family. Tonight, she rather not hear any of it. After driving down to the beach several miles away, she sat quietly inside her car thinking to herself whether or not she should walk into the ocean and never return. Misery had set in deep for her. While thinking this over, her cellphone rang. It was Mary. She thought for a moment if she should answer it. "Fine." She said to herself and answered the phone in a weary tone. "Hey, where are you? Please don't tell me you're planning on doing something stupid." Gwyneth smiled after hearing her tough, yet soothing voice. "Is that what you think of me?" Gwyneth said in anger. "What do you care anyway? You were the one that said he wasn't that into me anyway. Aren't you happy that I am no longer with him?"There

Sleeping peacefully in her bed, Gwyneth was cradling a pillow to her chest. The sun was beaming through her blinds causing the woman to stir. Usually, waking up was a simple task to Gwyneth. She is a morning person after all. She groaned when the first beam of sunlight hit her face. Picking up the alarm clock on her nightstand, Gwyneth looked at the time. "Ugh, why is it so early?" she placed the clock back on the surface and slowly began to sit up. She put her hand to her head which was throbbing. " Nothing a little Aspirin can't handle." Crawling out of her warm bed, she walked to her bathroom and took out two pills, pouring tap water into her rinse cup. Once she took her medicine, she jumped into a warm shower. It was very pleasant to feel the drops of water fell on every part of her body, and the fragrance of the fabulous shower gel that is made of unique flowers filled the bathroom which made her clear her thoughts while she was thinking about how she's going to spend the rest

"Welcome to Holy Trinity Academy, Miss Sarmiento." Gwyneth smiled back at Mrs. Dimaano before greeting her back. "It's my pleasure to be here ma'am. I know it's my first time, but I'll try to do my best." Gwyneth stood up from the chair opposite Mrs. Dimaano and shook her hand. "If you have any question or if you encounter any difficulty, don't hesitate to approach me." Gwyneth thanked her one last time before walking out of her office. She closed the door and walked past the guidance office to get to the faculty room. There were a few teachers chatting, some are sitting in front of their computers, while some are eating snacks. "You must be Miss Sarmiento. I'm Katrina Victorino, Literature teacher. I hope you enjoy your first day at Holy Trinity." In the blink of an eye, three days has passed Gwyneth sat at her desk in her classroom, leaning back in her chair with her eyes closed.
