He Can Go To Hell!

A splitting headache woke him up from his deep sleep. The man on the large bed in the middle of the room slowly opened his eyes. The room was dim but he still felt painful when the lamplight beside the table hit his eyes. He frowned slightly wrinkling the skin on his smooth forehead. He was in a daze before he had slight recollection of what happened but his memory was still a mess.

"Hiss ", he exclaimed through his clenched teeth and few beads of sweat could be seen on his forehead as he tried to get up on the bed.

The slight rustle of the sheets and blankets on the bed was heard by the man who was dozing off on a chair nearby the bed.

He quickly got up stretched his body to sit on the bed and asked worriedly. "Brother, are you feeling better?" But he noticed his clenched teeth and the painful expression and without second thought shouted at the top of lungs towards the door. "David, get Mr. Smith here this instant. Big bro has finally gained consciousness."

"Silence", he spoke hoarsely but it sounded cold as ever. "You are too loud."

"But I was just...", he looked at him as if he had been wronged. Looking at his pitiful and wronged expression a helpless feeling overtook the man and he just sighed, "Whatever" and rested his back on the pillow.

The door flew open and an old man in a white coat came with a bag along with a nurse and a young girl around the same age as the man. Even before the old doctor could reach him she ran over and quickly clasped his hand and asked if he was feeling okay. "I was so worried when you went missing and…"a large hand quickly covered her mouth to prevent her from speaking anymore.

She looked at the man who was expressionless but had murderous glint in his eyes that seemed to be warning her not to speak nonsense anymore. He slowly traced back his hand and said in low voice, "Nina you better stay quite now. Brother is still unwell, go back for now. You can meet him later."

The doctor also scolded her for making noise and startling the patient. "Dad can't I stay for a little bit?"

"This child ", the doctor murmured as he stared at her pouting and begging him silently. His heart melted looking at her but the order from the boss was absolute.

"Let her stay", the same hoarse but cold voice filled the room, "and get over with whatever needs to be done." Nina could only express her excitement by blowing raspberry towards the man who ordered her to go back not long ago. He could only roll his eyes and look at her as if she was the loser of the competition. Although she was annoyed she could only glare at him and swear in her heart.

The nurse who was completely forgotten the moment she entered the room was observing everyone's actions and interactions. Looking at the two youngsters quarreling with each other with their eyes she thought to herself, 'they make a nice couple'.

The doctor finished running series of test on him and finally looked at him. "Everything's fine at the moment. There are no fluctuations in the vital signs. As long as he replenishes his body with nutrients he will be okay soon. He just lost way too much blood."

"Thank you old man", the man on the bed said in his indifferent voice.

"Boss, take care", the old doctor replied as he walked towards the door grabbing unwilling Nina with him with the nurse following behind them. Once the door was shut the atmosphere inside the room became sullen and tense. The man looked up and said in calm but cold voice, "Chris, give me the detail of everything that has happened in the past days."

"Can't you wait a little more before you recover? You need rest right now. These things can wait." Chris tried his best to persuade him. Looking coldly at him he replied, "Are you ignoring my order right now? Don't forget I am the boss here."

"But…", "Yes boss. I will get it done soon." Saying this he quickly left the room to compile everything ASAP. The man was the only living existence in the dimly lit room. He seemed to be in deep thought. His face was stoic without any expression but his pure hazel eyes seemed to be burning with anger and hatred. He came back to his senses when the door of the room flew ajar. Chris came with two other people. One of them was Kim, a trusted subordinate of the man. The next person who came in was … well he didn't recognize him. He might have seen him somewhere but it wasn't clear.

Looking at Chris with sharp eyes he glanced at the two people. "Report everything and", his tone was dangerous, "Don't miss a thing."

They were used to his dangerous aura but still they couldn't help but shudder. Slightly coughing and clearly his throat Chris stepped forward with a file in his hand.

"You have been unconscious for past three days. During this time we looked for clues and culprit of the incident." Seeing he wasn't interrupting or asking anything he continued, "Brother, the one who ambushed you on your way to the site was the opposing group who lost the bid for the plot of land because of you. You remember their boss right? That fat bellied bald leader of the SER group."

In the same city a fat bellied bald man who was in a nightclub drinking beer and laughing sleazily at the young hostesses suddenly sneezed.  A vulgarly dressed woman showing most of her skin grabbed his hand and said in soft voice as if she was a fair maiden, "are you cold? Want me to prepare something warm for you mister?" She looked at him with cat eyes but one could clearly understand her intentions.

It was raining heavily outside. One of his subordinate came running to him and as if he didn't notice anything plainly informed, "Boss, our man has been taken away by them."

The man who was snuggling with the woman raised his head and said, "So what?"

"Boss they might have figured out it was us who attacked him."

"Let him find out whatever shit he wants. I'm not afraid of him. That little boy should understand his place and respect elders who have been in this business for years." "Now don't disturb me", "as for the man they kidnapped. Forget about him. He can just go to hell or die I don't care."

The man left quietly as he had entered ignoring the muffles and laughter coming from behind him, his face dark and dangerous which looked scarier when the peel of thunder landed somewhere near.
