prologue

She ran as fast as she could for she knew if she didn’t, she’ll be punished and this time she might not make it.

She never knew that marrying the love of her life would only mean lust for him. Lust of money, power and the destruction of her soul.

Her innocent heart never wanted to be his toy and if she wouldn’t do what he wanted She’ll get tortured in the most horrible ways possible.

Her train of thoughts was interrupted by someone pulling her back from her hair making her collided with a hard form. Her eyes met the softest hues of baby blues that stared back at her, the eyes that she mercilessly fell for, were filled with hatred and disgust which tore the 22 year old girl’s heart.

“You dared to runaway from me? Now watch what I’ll do, a punishment that’ll teach you your lesson for good and for last this time” he said while dragging her behind him still having a steel grip on her hair.

His steps were sturdy as he paid no heed to what the woman was going through and kept dragging her up the stairs, her legs bent, her hands clutched his, tears fell and sobs choked her but he heard none.

A menacing bark of laughter followed his movement of pushing her in front of him and a loud clap roared in the silent surrounding. The sky roared witnessing the torment and a loud clap of thunder made the cloudy sky bright.

“I… am sorry, I promise I won’t do it again, I’m sorry” she cried, she winced at the pain that shot through her scalp and made her weak. Her limbs trembled as she tried to take in a shaky breath but her lungs felt compressed.

“Sorry? Oh no honey sorry won’t bring me back the money I lost because of your stunt. Those men wanted a show and you know what happens when they don’t get, right? But you know what. Let’s make it more fun” He chuckled with a deadly glare in his eyes.

Dua looked behind herself and her breath hitched in her throat witnessing the boundary less corner of their home. She shook her head, her eyes widened and before she could voice out her plea, he had pushed her off the roof.

Loud thud reached his ears but didn’t look back, not even once as her supposedly lifeless body laid limp on the front porch in a pool of her own blood.

Minutes felt like centuries that tumbled down on her body like boulders, pain made her want to cry out loud but it also restricted every single movement her body wanted to make. Tears escaped her eyes and she soon heard what sounded like rushed footsteps and sirens.

Blurred figures gathered around her as her eyes dropped and she let herself fall into an endless pit of pain, misery and what she hoped for the most, death.

Doctors hurried to save the life of the girl brought in emergency, they tried they’re level best and hardest to keep this hopeless girl alive.

The police went out in search of her family and they were contacted soon after a missing report for a similar looking girl was found in the register.

It was the time of doom for the family as they had finally found the life of their house but at what cost. A search party was set out to find the man but he had as though disappeared from the face of this earth.

“We did our best to save her but she’s fallen in a coma and we’renot sure when or if she will wake up again”

With those last words the doctor made his way away from the family, as the mother sobbed in her husband’s cheat while the girl’s brother and sister tried their best to hold their composure.

"Sir we found these items in the house where she was found" a police officer came forward and handed them a packet that contained a diary.

A black leather diary stared back at them and they gulped. Taking the diary from them the officers were again off to their search for the man named Kashan who was mentioned in the diary.

Myra was the only one to master up the courage and read it. The words that stared back at her had her in tears, her body shivered, her voice trembled as she read the words painfully for her family. She couldn't read it anymore and she slammed the diary shut.

The content of the dairy made them all cry tears of blood and sob for the fragile woman who laid limp in the operation theatre.
