ANMELDEN
: THE BEAST
*AMELIA’S POV* "Is this what you mean when you say you love me?" My voice was low, heavily laced with venom. "Tell me, Leonhart. Am I really that shallow to you?"I added, my eyes darkening as I stared at him. He just stood there, watching me with that utterly infuriating smirk plastered across his face. "Kitten, I’m no one’s but yours," he said smoothly. His voice remained entirely calm as he took a slow step toward me. I let out a sharp, mocking laugh. He paused, arching a single brow in response. "Do I look like a fool to you, Leon?" I picked up a heavy kitchen knife from the counter, effortlessly spinning it between my fingers. "You made me like this. You made me fall in love with you. I was perfectly fine on my own before you barged into my life without permission. And now you want to leave me? For her?" My voice cracked for a split second, before instantly hardening. "Oh no. Never. You’re mine. Always have been. Always will be." He said absolutely nothing. I could hear his heart pounding too fast, too loud in the tight space. All I wished for was for him to him pull me in and kiss the fight right out of me. But I was furious, furious enough to kill. Even him. "Say it," I whispered, the desperation bleeding through my anger. "Say you love me."I bit my lower lip, and his eyes instantly followed the movement. His jaw tightened as he pressed his fingers to the bridge of his nose, fighting every primal instinct that was screaming at him to seize and I was making it entirely impossible for him to stay away. When he finally touched me, the movement was agonizingly slow. His broad palm cupped my cheek, and I melted into the warmth of it with a shaky breath. "Kitten," his voice dropped into a rough, uneven register. His forehead came to rest firmly against mine. He closed his eyes, deeply breathing in my scent. It was getting too hard for him to resist. My obsession, my rage, and my love simply mirrored his. "Kitten," he whispered against my skin. "I really want to kiss you right now." My breath caught. Heat flooded my cheeks, turning them bright red. My anger always melted the second he held me like this. "Can I...?" he asked, leaning in, closing the final shred of distance between us. Beep. Beep. Beep. I groaned, burying my face. Mmm.That dream again. I had been having the exact same vivid dream every single night for a week straight. I stretched my stiff limbs, blindly slapping at the nightstand until the alarm finally shut up. Waking up is easily my least favorite part of being alive. It’s daily proof that I am not, and will never be a morning person. I yanked the blanket back over my head. Five more minutes wouldn’t kill me... but my job definitely would if I missed my shift. Sighing, I dragged myself out of bed, ran through my morning routine, and by 8:00 AM, I was on my way to a corporate job I absolutely hated. Adulting sucks. I forced a polite smile onto my face and reminded myself to play nice with the executives. My boss, Mr. Miller, is the kind of guy who genuinely believes the world revolves around him, a self-proclaimed big fish swimming in an ocean full of sharks. I arrived at the office, straightened my skirt, plastered on my best professional expression, and walked through the glass doors. The staff greeted me on autopilot, and I nodded back before heading straight for the executive office. Thank God Mr. Miller wasn’t at his desk yet. Otherwise, I’d have gotten an earful about punctuality. I carefully laid out his schedule for the day, set it neatly on the center of his desk, and went to the breakroom to brew his morning coffee. When I returned, he was already seated stiffly in his chair, gripped in an intense phone call. I quietly set the mug down and waited by the door. His face looked completely pale like he’d just seen a ghost. "Yes, sir," Mr. Miller said, hanging up the receiver with a sharp, heavy exhale. He rubbed his forehead with closed eyes, frustration written all over his features. Good, I thought. Maybe now he knows how I felt after he forced me to stay late yesterday. "Good morning, sir. Today’s sched…" "Cancel everything," he interrupted sharply. I blinked. "But sir, I spent hours booking that luxury restaurant for the regional partners. They are leaving the country for two months. We won't get another chance like this." He raised a judgmental brow at me. “You think that minor contract is bigger than the person who is coming to this building today?” I rolled my eyes toward the floor before I could stop myself. Arrogant jerk. Just yesterday, he had dragged me through back to back meetings to ensure MC Group survived their bankruptcy. Now he was acting like global investors were the ones begging him for a meeting. Typical. “But sir, we won’t get another chance” Mr Miller slammed a heavy palm down on the mahogany desk, frowning deeply. “We have an exceptionally important guest coming today from Lycan Diamond Enterprises. Tell everyone on the floor to be on their absolute best behavior. Make sure everything runs smoothly without a single hitch.” "Yes, sir." "Now leave." I turned and walked out, my mind already spinning. Who could possibly be coming that has my boss this rattled?THE BEAST: ETERNAL OBSESSION*LEONHART POV*I stood by the window, watching the distant red taillights of the SUV completely disappear down the rain-slicked road.My jaw was clenched so hard the bone ached. I could still smell the sweet trace of her vanilla scent lingering on my skin, but it was already fading, ruthlessly torn away by the heavy downpour and the growing physical distance between us.Gone.In a sudden burst of violent frustration, I slammed my fist flat against the stone wall of the courtyard. The sound of cracking bone echoed in the quiet, and fresh blood began dripping from my knuckles, mixing with the rainwater on the ground. The physical pain flared instantly, but it was absolutely nothing compared to the hollow, agonizing ache tearing through the center of my chest.I dragged both hands through my hair, pacing the length of the dark courtyard like a caged animal. The freezing rain soaked completely through my dress shirt, chilling my skin. Good. The cold helped
THE BEAST: ETERNAL OBSESSIONIris froze mid word. Her mouth snapped shut instantly, the color draining from her face as she realized exactly what had just slipped past her lips. Her eyes went incredibly wide, darting erratically between me and the floorboards as if hoping the ground would open up and swallow her whole.I sat up straighter, the heavy blanket slipping completely off my shoulders."His what?" My voice came out much lower than I intended. It was sharp. Lethal. So this absolute bastard has a whole fiancée?The air in the room grew instantly heavy, dropping like a stone into the center of the space until everything stopped breathing. Iris opened her mouth, then closed it again, trembling. "I…I didn’t mean to say.."Too late.Suddenly, heavy, measured footsteps echoed from the hallway. They approached with a terrifying certainty, stopping right outside my door. Iris froze entirely. The door clicked open. Neither of us dared to breathe.I didn’t even need to turn around to know
THE BEAST: ETERNAL OBSESSION*AMELIA'S POV*My head felt like it had been stuffed entirely with thick cotton. The very first thing I noticed was a deep, radiant warmth. It wasn't the cold, damp temperature of the forest; this was a solid, steady heat radiating from somewhere incredibly close to me. Then came the smell. The rich scent of his cologne filled the entire space, heavy and intoxicating.I tried to force my heavy eyelids open, but everything remained a blurry smear of shadows."Her heart rate is normal," a voice echoed across the room. It wasn't his. It sounded older, calmer."Then why did she lose consciousness?"That voice. It was low, rough, and sounded like gravel being dragged slowly over expensive silk. Leonhart. My heart instantly began beating right out of my chest."Shock," the older man replied from the shadows. "Her body couldn’t handle it."Right then, I felt a sudden shift in the room. A suffocating pressure settled into the air heavy, dense, and terrifyingly po
: LEAVE ME*LEONHART POV*I felt it the exact second she crossed the perimeter wards.A sharp, agonizing pull ripped behind my ribs, like a heavy iron chain yanking my soul forward. My chair scraped back against the floorboards before my brain even registered that I was moving."Meeting’s over," I said, my voice dropping to a register low enough to make my Betas freeze mid-sentence. "Now."I didn’t wait for them to acknowledge the command. The forest air hit differently the moment I stepped outside. It was freezing, but underneath the chill, her scent cut through the winter air. Vanilla. Fear. And something intoxicatingly sharp that made my fangs ache behind my gums.“Find her,” I ordered my pack, slamming the command straight through the mind-link.Through our tether, I could feel her terror, her stubborn defiance, and her completely foolish decision to run into the woods alone. It all hit my head like a physical blow. My inner beast snarled, claws scraping aggressively against my
:THE WOLF The agonizing pain in my chest finally dulled to a throb, and I kept running, driving myself deeper into the oppressive darkness of the forest. I didn’t stop until the dense trees suddenly parted, opening up to a hidden, breathtaking waterfall. Even in the dead of night, the basin seemed to glow. Thousands of fireflies buzzed over the water, lighting up the humid air like living sparks. The pool below was a brilliant, sparkling blue, reflecting the full moon above. A soft, breathless "wow" escaped my lips."It’s beautiful out here," I whispered to myself, my eyes fixed on the rushing water. For a second, the fear evaporated. Then I heard it.The unmistakable crunch of a twig shifting behind me. My heart slammed violently against my ribs. I spun around, my voice trembling in the dark. "Hello?" I called out. The sound only echoed back at me mockingly. "Is anyone there...?"Regret flooded my system instantly. Why did I run blindly into a dark forest? What is wrong with me?
:ESCAPE My chest rose and fell in frantic, shallow gasps. If I breathed in too deeply, I felt like I would drown in him. “Mate? What the hell does he mean by that?” "Kitten, tell me to stop," he whispered again. His lips ghosted over my jawline, tormenting me by never quite making contact. He hovered there, close enough to burn. I should tell him to stop. God, I should shove him back. I should slap him. But my hands refused to cooperate. “Come on, Amelia, push him away,” I scolded myself. Instead, my fingers remained tightly fisted in the fabric of his shirt. My pulse hammered wildly against his mouth, practically begging him to finish what he started. "Stop playing with me," I whispered, my voice cracking under the weight of the tension. His laugh was low, dark, and utterly victorious. "I’m not playing." And then, he stopped waiting. His mouth captured mine. It wasn't a gentle kiss, nor was he asking for permission. He was claiming me. It was hot, demanding, and wrong in
