Freya's POV

I did not expect the dungeons to smell like roses and petals, but I did not expect it to smell so badly.

When I was led in here, I had managed to count at least twelve dead bodies, all piled in different corners, maggots playing on their remaining flesh, while some had been down here for so long they did not have a single flesh on their bones.

If I had not seen worse back at my town, I would have succumbed to the urge to retch.

My cell wasn't in much better circumstances too. It was unnecessarily small, making sitting difficult.

I found myself crouching in an uncomfortable manner, my two legs feeling stiff with each passing moneng I spent in that position.

True to the commands of their leader, I was beaten every single hour, each stroke of the whip taking a small chunk of my flesh back with it.

I lost track of time and my mind was messed up with every minute I spent in the stench.

And then, when I was so sure I could not do it any longer, I heard the metal gates open and the gruff voice of a soldier came, dragging me up to my feet like I was a sack of potatoes.

For the first time in what felt like days, I was led out of the cell, the guard not bothering to help me on my feet, just dragging my legs along with him on the porcelain floors.

" Where are you taking her? It's not yet time for her to work on the mines yet" a voice came, making the soldier who held my hands to stop, turning back to look at the slightly taller man, his eyes holding a mixture of anger and surprise.

" I answer to the Luna and not to the alpha. I was asked to bring the slave to her chambers" he said.

" The alpha ordered a slave to be locked up and you have the audacity to release her? Take her back to the cell before I lose my cool" the guard spat out, the anger now a prominent emotion in his voice.

The guard dropped my legs, walking towards where the new comer stood. I was too tired to stare up at their faces, but they were so close to each other now, I could almost imagine them breathing on their faces.

" Malcolm. Should I call this a form of disrespect?" A cool, feminine voice said, suddenly interrupting what would have been a heated fight.

It was not the voice that made me strain to look up. It was the shoes.

Those glass shoes that clicked on the floors, each step taken slowly, each drawn breath not rushed. Her red dress flowed form the top of her shoulders down to her legs, giving just a small space for the glass shoes to shine.

I have met a couple of powerful people in my time and I knew for a fact that this woman, whoever she was, fell in the same category as them.

" Luna! I would never dare to do that. However, the king has specific requests that the slave remains locked up in her cage until he deems it so" the man who I now knew was Malcolm said.

She sighed. A small hapless sound that caused a shiver to run down my spine quickly.

" Malcolm. I thought you would know, that this pack is run by me. Whatever your alpha does, he puts it through to me. I would ask that your head be chopped off but I'm in such a good mood today you see." A small pause. No words.

From my crouched corner on the floor, I saw her glass heels make their way towards Malcolm who now looked like a deer caught in hind lights. He shifted on his feet uncomfortably, as though trying to not make a sudden move.

She held onto his beards gently, pulling him closer to her.

"The next time you question any of my servants, I will make sure you bleed slowly and beg me to take your life" she said.

That was all. No words were exchanged again. It was almost as though everyone has a silent commission.

Malcolm scurried away and she hurried the servant with her hands.

I felt his hands tug at my feet and again, I was being dragged through the porcelain floor.

Whoever this woman was, whatever rank she bore in this place, I could tell she was deadlier than their leader.

The room I was led into was spacious and coated red. Every. Single. Inch.

I was plopped onto the floor in front of the bed where this woman sat, hands around a small book.

" Apologies dear child. I did not mean to be so violent in bringing you here. My name is Agatha and I'm the Luna of this delightful pack. May I know your name?" She asked.

Even though I was not staring at her, I could almost feel the smile in her voice.

" I don't owe you or anyone my name" I spat out.

She chuckled, clapping her hands as though my reply delighted her.

"Oh feisty. Honestly the moon goddess did a great job pairing you with zarek. I always knew he had a knack for stubborn women." She said.

I scoffed, spitting out the puddle of blood that had somehow formed in my mouth.

" Your presence in nauseating. I would love to go back to my cell now" I said to her.

" Oh dear. But you see, I have to talk to you. You will be put to the mines tomorrow and believe me when I say no one goes to the mines and gets out" she said.

" I never said I wanted to get out." I said simply, for the first time admitting that I had accepted defeat.

" Oh but you can. I have a little mission for you and I want you to help me with that. If you can, I will let you go" she said.

Every fibre in my being was yelling at me not to trust her. Every word she spat out was a lie. But somehow, she had my attention caught with that word.

Chapter 9Kaiser's POV The thing about fatigue? It did not seem to be noticed until you took a seat, and then everything will come weighing down like a boulder. On days like these, I preferred to stay locked up in my office away from the noise that the pack members loved to make. But today was slightly different.Marina burst through my doors, not acknowledging me as much as a knock before opening it, her eyes blazing.I had expected her for a while now, wondered when she will show up in fact, and seeing her now, I was not surprised." Is she fully settled in?" I asked, my eyes seeming to blur as I stared at the newspaper in front of me." Why would you do something like this kaiser!? A human? To these packs? No. She can't stay..you have to kill her or get her away from this pack because she is good as dead anyways" she said.I sighed, taking off my glasses in search of reprieve."You are asking me to kill my mate?" I asked her softly.Of all the people in this world, she alone coul

Freya's POV I could feel the heat waves of hate leaving her, her eyes focused on the back of my head as I walked in front of her my body stiff, mind running haywire. I could almost hear the thoughts running through her mind even though she did not say them.I was a human..filthy and weak. And somehow, I had the alpha bringing me to his house.I waddled shamefully through the floors." Where the hell do you think you are going you filthy creature? The servants rooms are this way" she said calling me back before I could make further descent into the dark hallways.I watched her mutter a few angry words as she walked ahead of me now, opening a door that I could have sworn was a closet door and staring back at me." This is where you will be staying with the rest of the servants. Check the wardrobe and you will find a gown, the servants are expected to look uniform in all circumstances. And I'm sure you need that change of dress anyways" she said.I stared at her,and then back in the cl

Chapter 7Freya's POV The satisfaction blossomed in my eyes as he drew his hands back, the crimson blood a tell tale sign of how well my knife had met his mark.I gripped onto the knife sharply, preparing for the attack I expected to come. If I was going to die, I knew I was going to be taking one of these bastards with me.But the war did not come. None of them took a step closer to me, or made to curtail my weapon. And the monster I had stabbed...His eyes seemed to tinkle with surprise, but no pain..nothing. like the gushing wound in his side was not enough to cause even a wolf to double." I assume you don't have anything that belongs to you here then. Let's go" he said, his arms wrapping around me all over again, putting me on his shoulder. The knife in my hands clattered to the floor in shock and it was at that moment I realized my stupid flaw. How could I drop my weapon when I was still in the midst of these monsters." Drop me down this instant! Let me go!" I yelled, punching

  • the human belongs to alpha kaiser    what it takes an alpha to bleed

Kaiser's POVI hated a lot of things.I hated how the women ogled at me as I walked into the hall, I hated how cheap the wine tasted and I hated how irritating it was getting to hear him speak. But what I hated the most, was when the moon goddess decided to make a fool of me.She was so small, yet so fierce in a feminine way that I did not know was possible. The minute the words left my mouth, the whole room went into an uproar, the whispers flying around so quickly it made me sick to my stomach. But zarek still stood, his eyes in slits now as he looked at me, eyes boring into mine." You! Take her back to her cell" he said, signalling to one of the guards that stood nearby." If any one of you lay as much as a finger on her I would cut it off" i said, voice still.I stared at karim, my beta and he nodded explicitly, his hands now guarding his sword, daring." I asked you to take her back to her cell!" Zarek yelled now, causing the guard to dare, his hands lifting to drag the tray out

  • the human belongs to alpha kaiser    claimed by an alpha of death

Freya's POV.Agatha was right. This place was like a minefield of bitter and angry people who tried their hardest to mask their distaste with a smile.Ray had disappeared into another room the moment I stepped into the hall, leaving me standing there, feeling less than as I walked around with the tray of drinks in my hands, trying to fit in with the other servers. But I didn't. I knew my scent was different, making me an easy prey." A human?! Zarek you really outdid yourself" one woman said as she tapped zarek on the hand happily the moment I passed. His eyes widened as he spotted me, questioning why I was out of that rotten cell and serving drinks, but I paid him no heed, the rebellious part of me enjoying the confusion in his eyes a single gave him a glass of drink, eyes mocking him." She is a prisoner of war" he replied simply, face now stern as he snatched the drink away. She giggled. One of those fake laughter I have heard women do when they are trying to seduce men.She turned

  • the human belongs to alpha kaiser    serving the banquet of monsters

Freya's POV " What are you doing here? You want to kill me finally?" I asked him, taunting him, enjoying how haphazard his gaze seemed to be.He muttered a jabble of words and spittle, opening the cage door and dragging me out.I expected a lot of things. A slap, maybe insults." I hate you..I hate you so much that my blood curdles just staring at you" he said, voice taunt. Those words seemed like razors in the skin of my heart.I did not remember being so touchy when it came to words, but I knew, that somehow, his words affected me more than I had bargained for." Well you can leave then. After all you want me dead in the fields " I said to him. Now, in that dimly lit room, I could see pain enter his eyes as I said that. One moment, I was standing in front of the bars, taunting him with my words and my eyes, and the next, the cage doors were flung open, pressing me on the wall, his body flush on mine." I hate you. I hate the thought of you and the sound of your voice. But this stup
