DANIELNIGERIA  His bright brown eyes opened to the outside view through the Uber he was currently boarding to his home. Ikotun,Lagos State where his family were currently based in.  He reminisced about when he first arrived at the airport in the morning. He was greeted by the soothingly warm air,the sun that shone brightly as if the celestial body were celebrating his return to his homeland. He could have been happy but the thoughts of his mother ailment bothered him to the core. He loved her more than he loved himself or even anyone else whilst there was still another emptiness deep within him. Zoey. He didn't understand the auspiciousness looming around him but he felt like he should have spoken to her before he left New York. His mind travelled once again to the hustle and bustle of people across the streets,as the car drove him past Oshodi market,he was mostly amused at the vibrance, the opt

ZOEY  Tears. Tears can be of different meanings,it could signify joy, love, hope, but the dreadful one nobody wished to experience is Sorrows and Pain. Unfortunately that was what life mostly bestowed in recent times, only few were lucky to have the good part. Same Fate could be said for Zoey. Hot tears of sorrows streaming down her eyes ceaselessly as she stood by her parents grave in one of New York's expensive cemetery. Well wishers and sympathizers had already dispersed after the burial but she chose to remain there. Alone, drenched under the heavy rain that poured over her umbrella that soon flew away from the raging wind. She didn't bother about the cold that stormed against her body or the wetness her black attire leaned against her skin. All that occurred to her were memories of her parents playing over and over in her head. Her hands clenched into a fist remembering how they died. A miserable death that nobody deserves. They died

DANIEL"Funky baby!..." Uncle B yelled in a voice of appraisal while His Mother's smile deepened. Daniel swallowed his saliva retaining on his tongue down his throat as he reviewed the lady properly. Funke at the gate in her ever charming beauty, more intriguing than he remembered. Their eyes met and she was equally as shocked like he was."Daniel!!" She yelled from evident excitement coursing through her body."Funke?!" He cocked an eyebrow as they both paced to each other. Giving themselves a tight hug. He was immediately embraced with an apple flavored scent and she was equally welcomed with his cologne that basked over their embrace."My Goodness!,when did you arrive?" She squeaked whilst jumping excitedly."Some minutes ago..." He laughed. "And you, what are you doing here?." He asked while his eyes reviewed marvelously at her. She was wearing a wine coloured off should

She was right seated at the end of the long dressed in a black formal suit with a white inner shirt and her now straightened hair packed in a ponytail. Behind her was a large thick glass window that illuminated the narrow but long room. It gave her the proper glance of her Parents board of directors who all scurried into the room with a nervous expression plastered on their faces. Each of them taking comfort with the black swivels hugging beneath the white desk. They paid their greetings but she bought none of them. She wasn't here for the directors nor business. There was only one thing,Revenge.   Her tiny smile vanished into

DANIEL  Daniel jolted awake from his sleep with his eyes ranging about the room donned in dark green paint. He first reviewed the gray bed sheet he was currently sitting up on as if the colour and scent wasn't the same like he remembered. To his right was a large wooden wardrobe leaning against the wall. Meters away from the furniture was a wooden door locked;one he presumed was his bathroom. To the right was a medium sized window with the curtains parted to the clip by the wall revealing the beautiful ray of light that illuminated his room. Apart from his bedside stand, the medium size bed,the black ceiling fan that rolled at an overwhelming speed, the wardrobe, the black tiles, his room was scanty. Exactly how he remembered. His focus diverted to the conversation coming from the Parlour.  He assumed quickly his Father was probably with a visitor. His mind wandered to his little sister Adejoke. He wondered what mischief she was up

DANIEL"How are you feeling now?." Her silky voice phased softly past his ears. As she sat beside him outside on the wooden bench in the passage. Weeks had passed yet he hadn't remembered anything. His mother's cheeriness he once visualized were still weary since his injury and his playful uncle too was now a silent man. He felt like all these changes were his fault and he thought of several ways to bring this joy back. For things to revert back to normal."Very well." He answered touching his forehead briefly and grateful for the bandage that was removed yesterday by his Doctor.  She smiled too except it only lasted for some seconds."I've been thinking lately..." He muttered, staring at his mother's brown eyes that lacked the brightness it usually carried."About what?." She asked in a whisper."I want to start afresh. Weeks have passed and nothing seems to be coming

GRAY"Mr. Robertson!...""Mr. Robertson!!..""Mr. Robertson!!... What do you have to say after the partnership with Johansson group of companies suddenly crashed?!.""There are rumours that your Family will soon drop from the status of billionaires after Johansson company deserted your partnership,is that true?!."Gray squeezed his eyes as more of cameras popped around him and his entourage who were busy clearing the path to his Rolls Royce Phantom. Their lights flashing and microphones appearing from various angles with a sizeable amount of hustling reporters clustering around him as he progressed. Gray was still battling with the letter of termination he just received from his Father's company he just stepped out of and now he had to deal with this persistent crowd and their strong resolve in succumbing to their heat and questions that flowed ceaselessly yet eloquently f

ZOEY"Gurney's Star Island Resort and Marina?" Zoey arched her eyebrows as she faced Richard in the reception."You don't like it?. We can lodge somewhere else if you want." He answered truthfully, abstaining from the payment he was about to make. Zoey took a brief glimpse at Jane who was already humming and shivering from excitement. Zoey rolled her eyes noting how much her friend loved luxury. Zoey had only visited this resort once. And that was with Gray. Staying here would only ruin her mood further for it would only birth memories of the past rather than enjoyment. But for the sake of Jane and Richard's body language that expressed how much he loved this place already, she decided to stay."One night and that's all." She responded. He grinned neither did she wait any further, strolling away from both of them already engulfed in their biddings. She chose to walk by the pool side with her arms hugging her

FUNKE  The morning was peaceful but she was at war. Daniel's mother had gone to the market while Uncle B busied himself with his usual business;drinking and chasing after women with his friends. Leaving her with Daniel who was still asleep in his room. Days had passed since she last visited nor even spoken to Daniel. She was only here due to his mother's request. The feeling of rejection was still there. Her love for him could be dated back to their secondary school days. When she had bumped into him from obliviousness at the library. Their array of books had clashed and crashed to the marble floor but he didn't take offence. Rather,he had expressed the most brightest and heartwarming smile she had ever seen. Scooping her book gently and arranging them in a straightened order. She had apologized countlessly for her actions but he maintained his countenance, apologizing instead. It was that smile, that care and warmth i
