"How are you feeling now?." Her silky voice phased softly past his ears. As she sat beside him outside on the wooden bench in the passage. Weeks had passed yet he hadn't remembered anything. His mother's cheeriness he once visualized were still weary since his injury and his playful uncle too was now a silent man. He felt like all these changes were his fault and he thought of several ways to bring this joy back. For things to revert back to normal.

"Very well." He answered touching his forehead briefly and grateful for the bandage that was removed yesterday by his Doctor.  She smiled too except it only lasted for some seconds.

"I've been thinking lately..." He muttered,staring at his mother's brown eyes that lacked the brightness it usually carried.

"About what?." She asked in a whisper.

"I want to start afresh. Weeks have passed and nothing seems to be coming
