Chapter {41} You Have No Idea
Esthers POV;   I dump my body on my bed and exhale in exhaustion. I lay on my back and closes my eyes. I  suddenly recall the feel of Dayos lips on mine and this causes me to quickly sit up. I draw my fingers to my lips and touch them in disbelief.    As if touching them would help me ascertain if I actually kissed one of my brothers best friends. The  particular one who's older than my brother with five years and me with ten!    "What was I thinking? "I question myself audibly.    "Why did I do it? "I quiz again.    I sit straight. Deep in thought. Dayo kissed me too. What could that mean?    Why did I do it? Why didn't he yell or scream at me? Why did he kiss me too? What on earth made me do that? Is it because I need a shoulder to cry on? Is it because I don't want to loose the second pillar I have and am trying to hold h

Chapter {42} Tell Dad
Esthers POV;   I am busy making a diary entry when I hear a knock on my rooms door.    "Yes? "I call.    "May I come in?" My brothers voice replies and I look down at the book before me. I'm toast if he should read even a single page of this book.    "Hold on a minute. "I call before stuffing the sparkling, hard cover, pink book in the secret compartment of my drawer I made for it.    "Come in. "I call once I'm done and Derrick pops his head in.    "Hey, "He says as he walks in and shuts the door behind him.    "Hi. "I reply with a smile.    "I got you something. "He says and my forehead creases.    "Unripe mangoes. I heard they are good for pregnant women. "He replies placing a white Polly bag on the study table before which I'm sitting.

Chapter {43} He's Not the Father Of the Child!
Dayos POV;   I just foolishly blurted out the truth to Esther's father. We never wanted him to find out this way but in all honesty, I am more concerned about Esther's well-being  than her father's temper.    I bite my tongue as I look down at the worried Esther. This is most definitely too much for her to take as she soon passes out in my arms.    In fear, I quickly pick her up and dash up the stairs.    "Derrick, call a doctor! "I scream, making it up the stairs. Only once I'm up, do I realize I've never been up here before so I don't know her room.    "Derrick where is Esther's room? " I question in confusion.    "Second room on your right. " Derrick calls back and I obey his instruction.  I make it into the beautiful and fairly large room. It's neat to say the least. I I rush over to the bed and drop Esther's

Chapter {44} I'm Sorry
Esthers POV; "What? "My father questions more calmly as he makes his way to my bed and sits beside me.   "You were rapped? When did this happen? "My father questions. Taking my left cheek in his palm in ever so sweet affection.    I gulp before answering "Three months ago. "And he freezes.    "What? "He questions in pure confussion and I look up at Derrick before answering.    "I didn't know I was rapped till I tested positive for pregnancy. We then connected the dots and found out how the child came about." I reply and my father looks over at Derrick who in turn looks away. His mood is still sore.    "Tell me dear, who did this? "My father questions and I watch my heart jump out of the window.    "Answer me dear. "My father persuades and I look up at Derrick. Begging him with my eyes not to let me do this alone.

Chapter {47} Come with Me
I sluggishly exit the compound as the cold night breeze harasses me. I look up at the night sky and see the dark clouds threatening to cover the moon. It looks like it's going to rain tonight.    As I get to the gate, I turn around to take a look at my family's mansion. Remembering all the beautiful moments spent in it. Mostly moments that involved my late mother.    She was the light of the house, the oxygen that was needed and she still remains the missing moon in the family's dark Sky. I wish you were here mom. If only she were, I may not have been facing this.   Thunder strikes and I look up at the sky. I'm very scared of Thunder. Especially when I found out that thunderbolts actually hit and kill people here in Nigeria.    Witch doctors use thunderbolts to fight against their targets. Striking them to death. I've also heard of thunderbolts missing their traget and hitting

" the Slender young man replies running towards us.   "Turn on the gen. " Dayo command as he gets out of the car.   I stare nervously at Dayos house. I can't believe I'm actually going to live here. For how long? For how long am I going to live here? I honestly have no idea what's going to happen next. I am just as clueless as can possibly be.    I am pulled back to my environment by the sound of Dayos car trunk opening. I turn around and find him bringing my things out of the trunk and I swallow. This is really happening.  I get down from the car and try to carry one of my bags but he stops me.  "Don't worry, I can c

Another embarrassing moments with Dayo, is the last thing I need tonight.    I pick up my phone and head straight for W******p, after turning on my cellular data, I find a message from brother Derrick,   *Esther, don't worry. I'm still trying my best to convince daddy. You'll soon be back home again by God's grace. Just stay with Dayo for the meantime, alright?   I promise we'll figure this out.* The message read and I roll my eyes before dropping the phone. To be honest I can't care less about what my father wants or thinks anymore. Just as he has disowned me, I have also disowned him.     A knock on the rooms door, pulls me out of my thoughts.    "Who's there? "I question. Of course I know it's Dayo, as we are the only ones in

Chapter {50} When are you Getting Married?
Derricks POV; I have never been so angry about anything in my whole life. Except from when I lost Ope, this is the second worst wave of anger I've faced in my entire life.    How on earth will my father do this to Esther! What sort of messed up mentality is this? It's been a whole week and he's still hell bent on keeping Esther away from him and the house.    Like, what sort of father blames his daughter for getting raped? This is the freaking 21st century. Yes, I know Esther made a mistake. Dressing in such a provocative way and showing up at a boys hotel room so late at night, yes, part of the blame can be given to her but definitely not all of if.   I went to visit Esther a few days ago and she told me that even if father appologizes, she isn't going to come back. They put me in the center of this whole mess!    I've been cold to my father for days and he doesn't seem to bot
