Jack was tapping his foot on the floor of his office. Dammit he had fucked up. He had fucked up so badly. He didn't know if Ana was ever going to forgive him. And if she didn't, it would be completely understandable. His behavior had been disgusting. Like what the hell was going through his head when he was telling Ana all those things? Calling her all sorts of names. He was just really pissed off and jealous.

Ana was not used to things like this. It was shocking. And quite honestly, it took her off guard. She didn't know what the hell she was going to do now. She walked towards the table slowly and looked at the objects on it. She stared at the carefully then picked up the bouquet of gardenias. They looked beautiful and smelled nice. And right next to them, a box of her favorite cookie brand. 

The ride to the restaurant was filled with teasing banter. They were pushing the seriousness for the dinner itself. None of them wanted to bring down the mood. They knew talking about the very big elephant in the room was going to make for a tense and serious mood. And for now, none of them wanted that. 

It was Saturday and as usual, Ana was home. Normally, she would have been spending the day with Jack, but she decided she was going to talk to Landon today. She had neglected him too much. They had planned to meet at a small restaurant or cafe for lunch, but Ana was extremely tired so she sent him a text telling him to come to her place instead. 

"So you mean to tell me she came over here and threatened you?" Landon asked and Ana nodded sullenly. She was in a dark mood. She had wanted this day to be a good one, just her and her best friend. But it looked like something always got in the way of the time they were supposed to spend together. "I- she had those pictures Landon. The ones Farouk had taken before." Ana sniffled. She had tried so hard to forget that moment of her life. And Helen bringing it up was taking her back to a dark and dreary place.
