Born To Kill: Off to California
“I’m fine, Marina. I just realized something and I was in so much shock, I fainted. I’m really sorry if I made you worry so much.” I told her. She shook her head and told me that it was okay and that I didn’t need to apologize. “But why can’t you tell me what you realized? What could you have seen that could make you go into shock?” She asked. I pulled away slightly and I looked her in the eyes. Until I get enough evidence, I will certainly tell Marina what happened but for now, it’s best if she didn’t know anything. “You’ll find out soon enough.” I told her. Marina didn’t question what I said. She simply went back to picking out her clothes and deciding what to take back to California. I didn’t bring much, just the bare necessities. We were only going to be th

Born To Kill: Little Reunion
We arrived at the airport just in time. We weren’t taking a commercial flight though. Primo had arranged a private jet for us for a smoother and safer travel. Our bags were taken from us and we were escorted inside the jet. The inside of the jet was lavish and a bit posh for my taste. I was still having a weird feeling in my gut so I couldn’t really pay much attention to the details. I looked over at Marina and as I expected, she was so curious about everything that she couldn’t take her eyes off of the decor. “Wow! This is so amazing. Luna, look at this.” I heard Marina call me but I just sat on my seat and put on my seatbelt. We were instructed to sit down as we were about to take off. Back in California, Salva was already waiting for us since I told him beforehand that we were coming. I tried to get some rest during our flight. Primo was busy looking over some documen

Born To Kill: Hidden Agenda
“Too bad we’re only going to be here for a few days. I would love to explore those new stores.” Marina mentioned. I put my hand on her shoulder and she looked at me. I mouthed the words ‘I’m sorry’ to her. I know she wants to go out and explore but we didn’t come here for fun. We were here for something important. I don’t know how all of them will react if they found out what I found out but I hope everything will go well. “It’s okay sis, maybe I’ll ask Niccolo next time if he’s willing to come here with me. I’d love to take him out and irritate him by making him carry all my shopping bags.” Marina joked. Salva chuckled and Primo was trying to hide a smile. I’m glad that the mood is so light today; I’ve been having so many bad thoughts lately that I couldn’t even enjoy the little things. I just wante

Born To Kill: Steamy Shower
“How are you feeling?” He asked me. I told him I was tired and I wanted to sleep since I didn’t get much sleep last night and on the plane. Primo told me that I should sleep and he’ll wake me up when it’s time to leave for lunch but I told him I was okay. “I might just take a shower just to wake myself up.” I told him. He nodded and I got up from the bed. There was already a bathroom in my room so it was convenient for me to just take a shower there. I took a towel from the cabinet and I went in. I didn’t bother locking the door since Primo was in my room. I took off all of my clothes and I put them in the hamper. I turned the knob of the shower to a slightly warm temperature. I didn’t want the water to be too warm because I’ll end up getting relaxed and wanting to sleep more so I made sure the water was a bit warm but a bit cool as well to

Born To Kill: Lunch Time
“Are you feeling better now?” He asked. I rolled my eyes and smiled. Of course I’d be feeling better. Who wouldn’t after experiencing something like that. It was still quite early but Primo and I decided to dress up early for lunch. We just stayed in our room until we were called down. Everyone was dressed and ready for lunch so we headed out to one of the Castelvetrano-owned restaurants. Salva offered to take us to that location since he was the one who recommended it to us. When we got there, the owner showed up and greeted Salva. As I looked at him mingling and talking to people older than him, I could really feel that the people around here are starting to treat him as the Capo. “Welcome, welcome. Please come on in.” The owner told us. We were placed on a big table that was able to fit all of us. Since Salva made the recommendation, he was also the one in charg

Born To Kill: Confrontations
Maybe the curiosity about my mother’s true identity had gotten the best of me. I suddenly woke up from my nap feeling terrified as if I needed to know what the truth was. I got up from the bed and went down but as I was walking down the stairs, I could hear Primo and Salva’s voice from the living room. I wanted to make my presence known but they were talking about something serious that I just threw my idea out the window and tried to get to the kitchen without attracting their attention. It’s gonna be really hard since these two have super sharp senses. As I tiptoed from the staircase to the dining room, I heard Salva raise his voice a little. It attracted my attention and I just couldn’t help but eavesdrop. “You’re locking up my sisters?” Salva said, his tone was a bit angry but he was still calm. I could tell he was just surprised to hear what Primo had sa

Born To Kill: Revelations
“What are you talking about, sis? What’s this talk about mom being part of the Bratva?” Salva asked me. Salva tried to walk towards me but Primo stopped him. Instead, Primo was the one who walked closer to me and he held my hand. “When I left the mansion, I met the leader of the Bratva. When he saw me, it seemed like he recognized me. I wondered how he could recognize me when I barely leave the house and no one else knows of my identity since I was from California but I’m now living in New York. It was impossible for him to recognize me, unless he’s already seen the same face before.” I said. Everyone was looking at me except my mother. She was still staring at the floor; I knew what I was saying was right and her reaction is my proof. “Marina and I wondered how this whole feud started with the Bratva.

Born To Kill: The Plan
“And then what happened?” Salva asked. Salva looked a little bit irritated as well as agitated. He’s not in a good mood and I think it’s because of the fact that we had russian blood running through our veins. Our number one enemy turns out to be our relatives. He must be furious. It took Salva so long to gain the trust of my father’s men and now, if the truth comes out, all of his efforts will be in vain. “It’s exactly what you think, when I was alone with my bodyguard, your father came around and killed him and then he took me away. Your grandfather at the time didn’t know of what happened. Your father let me stay with a close friend of his. They took care of me as if I was their own and it was just the kind of environment I was dreaming of. I thought my life would be okay after that but It turns out, it was only the beginning of horrible things to co

Born To Kill: The Meetup
“Are you sure you’re okay with this?” I asked my mother. Niccolo was able to send a message to the Bratva and he received a reply not long after saying that they agreed. The meeting place would be back in New York so Primo, Marina and I along with our mother flew back. Salva couldn’t come with us but he put all of his trust in Primo. “Please keep my family safe.” That’s what he told his brother-in-law before we left. We were sitting in Primo’s private jet when Marina suddenly sat next to me and whispered something in my ear. “What’s gonna happen once this man talks to our mom?” She asked. I pondered a bit after hearing her question. I honestly had no idea what to expect from this man. We don’t know him and my mother only remembers him when they were kids. Things could’ve c

Born To Kill: Long Awaited Reunion
“I’ve been thinking about what you said, Luna. Do you think the reason why they’re looking for Primo is because of what happened with you and Soren?” Marina asked. Primo glared at Marina and Niccolo shot her a look telling her to be quiet. I was shocked by their reactions because I was actually thinking of the same thing. Marina could be on to something here. “Wait, Marina could be right. Did we ever find out the reason why Soren worked so hard to become your bodyguard? He was trying to come close to you for a different reason. If they were looking for the missing girl, they definitely wouldn’t have stayed here in New York when they were in California when my mother went missing. When I encountered them, I heard the leader ask for Primo or more specifically, they were looking for the Capo.” I told them. Primo and Niccolo looked at each other but neither of th
