Jace waited for her to leave before he got up out of the bed. He didn’t want her to see him in his boxer shorts. That was the only way he could sleep. His body ran hot even before he made the change. He grabbed his phone and tried to call her. He mumbled to himself. “I could have just sent this in a text.” He tilted his head scratching near his ear. The call went to voicemail leaving him to send her a message. He wasn’t sure what she could have been doing but it was important that they talked. Jace sent her a message hoping she would call him soon. [Hey need 2 tlk asap] He pulled on his pajama bottoms. Right when he grabbed for a shirt, his senses heightened. The smell of bacon wafted into his room. Corrine may have been annoying to every possible extent but she truly did know him. With his shirt in his hand, he left out of his room. There she was standing in his kitchen next to the stove, an apron tied around her waist. If he were remotely attracted to her, he would have sn

He knew what she was going to say before she even said the words. “Mom, if Corrine wanted me to join her, she wouldn’t have left me behind.”She raised her left eyebrow and folded her arms over her chest. “Jace, we will talk about this after the wedding.”“Yeah, mom afterwards.” He already had his plan to be gone before that even happened. She grabbed him by the arm and made him escort her inside. The two of them walked in the doors to see the rest of their pack standing around waiting for the ceremony to get underway. When they see their Luna coming in, with the future alpha they all greeted them with a smile. Jace tried to shy away from them. But one member clapped him on the back and grabbed his hand in a handshake. Ileana spoke in the soft tone she always did. “The ceremony will be starting we should shed our human façade now and be the wolves we are meant to be.”Jace kissed her on the chee

Andi rolled her eyes at how Cynthia contradicted herself. Jace held his arm out for her to grasp. She was hesitant to loop her arm in his, instead she opted to walk next to him. Jace couldn’t help but to tease her. “You too good to hold my arm?”“No, I never gave you the impression that I liked you the way the other girls do.”He nodded his head and gave her a winning smile. “You say that now but I’ll make you so in love with me that you will want to touch me every chance that you get.”She raised her left eyebrow at him wondering where he got all that confidence from. “You certainly have a big head. Shouldn’t you focus your attention on the many women that want you already?”“If I wanted them, I would be out on a date with them and not you.”She turned away from him trying to hide the smile creeping onto her face. “I could have sworn I told you before flattery will

Andi stopped in front of a clothing store that was just about to close. The name of the store was Illusion. There were clothing she wanted to try on, fall like colors. She was so absorbed in a red plaid skirt when she heard a voice behind her. “You’d look good in anything.” Turning around she seen Jace was there. He spoke again, “With your beautiful skin tone you would look good in anything.”“Yeah, that’s a lie. I’ll stick with my blacks and purples.”Jace grabbed her hand and pulled her inside the store. The clerk looked up upon hearing the bell ringing. They both could see the annoyance written on her face. Jace quickly gave a winning smile. “We won’t be but ten minutes. Swear.”Andi could see how the woman just melted under his stare. She could have sworn she felt something similar from that gaze but let it go. He then grabbed the red plaid skirt and a soft yellow orange shirt. He

Her body was hunched over, she relied on a wooden cane that had intricate patterns on it. The woman Andi presumed to be Madame Mirage spoke in a scratchy voice. “Bienvenu mezanmi. You wish to have your fortune told?”Andi made quick work of going to take the woman’s hand. She had hoped her silent plea would reach her ears. “Yes, this guy wants his future revealed to him. I would do it myself but I was out on a date with a friend.”“AH a kindred sister. I felt a pull when I was in the back. Come, come.” She motioned for the man to follow her to the round table with a crystal ball sitting in the center. The three of them could see their reflections in the ball.
