I still didn’t know why Brianna needed ice, but I didn’t want to imagine a reason, and my relationship with my brothers was more strained than I thought. Wyatt could be unpredictable, everyone knew he had a violent streak, which has only intensified since Brianna came into the picture. ALARIC'S POV CON'T I mind-linked my mom to bring up multiple bags of ice, as well as some kind of juice or fruit in case I could get her to eat something later. She was screaming as loud as she could for my brothers, and her voice was slowly breaking my heart. She was in so much pain and all she wanted was them. I wanted her to want me like that, to need me. I hope I didn’t fuck everything up completely already, or I’d never forgive myself.   I went to check on her after she stopped screaming for a few minutes, and she had stripped most of her clothing off but was still laying where she landed earlier under the cold stream of the shower. She had passed out so I turned it, and the bath, off hoping she could get some kind of peace there if I didn’t disturb her, though the last thing I wanted was to leave her sleeping on a tile floor.  

I woke up to a very stiff Alaric as every part of me ached and I felt like I could hardly breathe again. I could hear the water running in the bathroom and a small knock on the door, when Alaric went to answer it, the pain got worse, so much worse. He was quick to close the door, quickly scooping me up from the bed and taking me to the tub he had filled up with cold water and was now dumping bags of ice into.  He lowered us into it, still in our underwear, so that he was sitting behind me. As soon as our noses touched, he crashed his lips into me. I was thankful that he was pushing me against the counter because my legs became so weak that I wouldn’t have been able to stand on my own. His lips tasted so sweet, that thick marshmallow smell invading me, making me hungrier and hungrier for more as he yanked my legs up and I wrapped them around his waist. He was gripping my face with one of his hands, pulling me in tighter with the other one as my hands went under his arms, reaching around his back and my nails were beginning to dig lightly into his skin making his chest rattle my whole body. He was taking full control and I loved every second of it, his tongue pushed its way where ever it wanted and made me moan every time he flicked mine with his, erupting more and more wetness, seeping from my core.
