Chapter Fifty-One
Standing in the open with Mitch felt awkward as he calmly stared at me. Finally, I got sick of waiting for an answer and said, "Can you answer the damn question?" Without uttering a word, Mitch sighed. Then he turned away from me and started walking back into the motel. “Your little boyfriend isn't here anymore, so you can stop with the childish act and follow me inside,” Mitch said without turning around. For a while, I stood outside, staring at the door, and feeling hesitant had me captive for a moment. Then walked over to the door, twisted the doorknob, and pushed the door open before walking inside. That bastard was nowhere in sight, and I walked to the front desk, stared at the lady behind the count

Chapter Fifty-Three
**********Atlas POV********* The quietness in my office was suddenly interrupted when the door opened and uncle Mile walked inside, shutting the door behind him.  Then he walked further into the room, sat down, and looked at me. Twirling my chair left to right, I stared at him, screwed my face into a frown, and asked, "Why are you here?" These past months, I have been exposed to truths that I didn't know exist, and each time I meet my uncles, it's like a piece of their mask gets cracked off their faces. "Did you hear that King is dead and he got shot this morning?" Uncle Mile boldly said with a frown. How would I not know? It was the first news that greeted me this morning, and I don't even know how to process the news yet because it felt so surreal and yet expected. "I did," I mumbled, slightly clutching my fist. "I think everyone k

**************Lilith POV**********   The air felt cold as I stood outside, and hugged my body tightly to stop myself from shaking which wasn't because of the cold, but what happened between Mitch and me.   Finally, I saw Atlas's car driving toward me, and I felt a sense of relief. But when it came to a stop and the windshield rolled down, I felt my heart stop.   It was Atlas behind the steering wheel and not his driver. Even though I felt nervous, I walked over to the door, opened it, and got inside. The car was silent as I waited for Atlas to say something. But after staring at him for a while without getting a word from him, I felt a bit hurt.   "Are

Chapter Fifty-Five
Even though it was the third knock on my door, I kept laying in bed, hoping that whoever was at the door would go away, and yet I was kind of hoping and not hoping that it was Atlas. "Miss, it's time to get up!” Maira's voice echoed into my ear, and I felt annoyed. Hugging onto my pillow, I rolled over to avoid the sudden rising sunlight and buried my face into it. The annoying heartache of a breakup is just the worst, and even though I had to meet Linda like an hour from now, all I really wanted to do was stay in bed. “Your breakfast is going to get cold,” Maira said from the other end of the door. Why was she so hellbent on my well-being

With a smile on her face, Linda looked at me and said, "Oh, he will be here soon." It didn't take more than a minute after her remark for the sound of a knock on the door to draw both of our attention to the entrance. Suddenly the door opened, and I took one look at the person walking into the room before smiling and mumbling, "Jacob,"  "Hey, Lilith. It's lovely to have you on my team just like the old days." Jacob said, shutting the door after him. "Agent Lilith, you will be working with agent Jacob on this mission," Linda said with a straight face and authority in her voice. "Yes, boss," I mumbled, smiling when Jacob winked at me.

Suddenly, Sniper's cry turned into laughter, and I allowed him to laugh his heart out before striking him in his mouth, which left his gum bleeding and his teeth red with his blood.  "You bitch!" Sniper screamed, raising his head. But I pressed it back to the floor, hitting the back of his head into the wooden floor. "You better start talking before things get bloody, pretty fast." I calmly said. "What are you going to do if I don't? Tear another mark into my face!" Sniper shouted. "Go ahead! Do it!" Looking at the dull look of fear in his eyes, I smirked knowing he was on the edge of breaking and I just needed to give him a little push. "No, I'm going

As I stared at Jacob, I sighed, realizing that he was right, and mumbled, "You were right the other day we met?" A look of confusion crossed Jacob's face, and he kept gazing into my eyes for a while. Then his eyes widened, and he mumbled, "Atlas shot his shot?"  "Yeah," I mumbled, feeling embarrassed not because I felt drunk, but because of the way, he said it. "You and he?" "Are date," Shrugging my shoulders, I tilted my head and mumbled, "Well, we were dating." "Lilith, you bad bitch!" Jacob said, smirking at me. "Wait, were?"

As the morning light crept into her bedroom, my eyes were already open, and yet she wished that she wasn't awake this early. Another sleepless night. For a while, I lay in bed feeling alone and sad as I listened to the quietness in my room, and even though it was just the start of the day, I already wanted it to come to an end. I missed the days of waking up in his arms and not on an empty bed. It had been two days since Atlas made it clear that it was over between us, and I couldn't get over the fact that we were over, even though I knew it was. The thought of getting out of bed crossed my mind as I turned her head to the right and gazed at the spare pillow, then her lips curved into a pout.

When the waiter set the try down and turned around to leave, I slowly withdrew my hand away from my gun with my eyes still on him. But just as I relaxed, I saw him reach into his coat, and immediately I jumped to my feet and grabbed him by the waist, pushing him towards the wall, away from Atlas. "Aria, what are you doing?!" Atlas shouted, his voice shaky with fear. At that moment, he elbowed me in my face, and after my grip loosened on him a bit, he turned around, and that's when I saw the gun in his hand. "Oh my, he has a weapon!" Miles yelled, sounding so bogus than a terrible actor. Ignoring the pain in his chin, the blood seeping from the cut in my ski

********Atlas POV*******   The gate automatically opened, and I drove my black SUV into an artistic yard.    Once the vehicle stopped, I got down from the car and walked over to Aria, and waited for her to shut the door before taking her hand in mine and exciting her to the villa.   After entering the house, we were about to head upstairs when I saw Victor walking down the stairs, approaching us from the opposite direction.   “Atlas!” Victor mumbled, walking towards me.   When he reached the last stair, he frowned and asked, “Why are you holding her hand like you guys are some kind of a couple.”
