I couldn’t see it, I just couldn’t imagine Daryl as a weak little boy, nor could I picture him being bullied ever, he was a mountain of muscles, he kept himself to himself and only spoke if he had something to say and I had seen the fear in peoples faces when they had registered Daryl and who he was. Tana had dropped to her knees in forgiveness on hearing he was the Alpha of Alphas.“He was really an Omega?” He had told me himself yet he had lied about so many other things and I really had to know the truth, I just hope he couldn’t hear me“Yes he was, in my father’s pack” We were actually good friends and I hoped he would be my future Beta but then after the curse he challenged the Alpha of the Crescent pack” Christian grimaces “I never knew of his plans to become a hybrid; else I would have stopped him. It was to late by the time I discovered what had happened”.I had so many questions but the b

After a couple of days, things started to make sense again. I understood now that Paige had poisoned me because I had challenged her over her feelings towards Daryl, it turned out the little dab of wolfsbane worked in keeping Daryl out of my head but not in helping me to heal, it was why the poison was having such a bad effect on me because I was unable to heal and it was clear Paige knew exactly what she was doing when she offered me that banana that was laced in poison.Christian and Daryl had taken it in turns to stay with me and Daryl had forgiven me for not having a clue who he was and for choosing Christian over him but only once he found out the severity of what the poison could do to me. Christian was still finding it hilarious that I chose him and was constantly winding Daryl up over it but now with everything happening if Daryl wasn’t with me then Christian was the only one allowed to be. For some reason Jordan wasn’t even allowed to guard me anymore and

“Are you sure?” I kept my words to a whisper“Yes, now we will have to play it cool”“What do you mean?”“We will need to act like we are a couple”. He keeps his voice low as his speaks, almost a whisper and I wondered how strong the vampires hearing was and if it was like wolves“Do you think they are here for me?”Christian shrugs his shoulders, “They might just be scoping out the place for their next meal”I shuddered at the idea and then remembered that I had actually enjoyed drinking blood but I was grateful I wasn’t hunting for it.Grabbing Christians arm, I smile and tell him to lead the way and try not to look in the direction Christian had. I don’t know how convincing my acting would be, but I was certainly going to try my best.Christian walks us inside the building and we take a seat, Christian sits opposite me in the large booth and

As we arrive at the gates of Crescent pack, Daryl was already waiting for us along with Cole and Jordan. I climb out the car and he immediately runs his eyes over me wearing Christians jacket, all the way down to my bare legs.“Would you rather I left her naked?” Christians comment was snarky and I knew what he was trying to say, he was doing me a favour.“Inside” is all Daryl says and walks me to the packhouse. I couldn’t tell if he was annoyed or angry with me but he wasn’t willing to talk whilst we were outside. Some of the pack members were hovering around and giving us strange looks, well they were probably looking at me wearing just a jacket that barely covered my ass or maybe they were looking at the scars that littered my legs.Christian follows us and as we walk up into the packhouse, he pauses but Daryl tells him to come inside. We walk in silence to Daryl’s office and once inside he locks the door. “What

The thought of drinking blood again had my emotions mixed with excitement and disgust, I had grown up living a lie, being denied what I needed to let my monster, how much had Maddox really known about me. Did he know that keeping me away from everything would keep me subdued, until recently I had never felt anything so dark.Probably, he was an asshole Ashley and if I wasn’t subdued, there was no way he would have been alive.I feel my body being lowered until it met something soft and firm “Just let her sleep, she most likely needs it after hardly sleeping last night”“You know”“Of course I know, she is my mate. She was tossing and turning all night. She still lives with what Maddox and Hayden did to her. I don’t think she will ever move on” I hear him sigh as he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear “I hoped that after Hayden’s death she would settle but with everything going on, she s
