They reached Clara’s secret hideout faster than they expected. Andrew got out of the car relieved. “Next time remind me not to let you drive.” Andrew said as she got out. Clara rolled her eyes at him. “Just be thankful that I didn’t kill you.” She told him. “I am thankful for that.” He told her. They were at a clearing. It was night so they couldn’t see the area clearly. In front of them was a house and beside the house was a river flowing. The house was lit on the inside. “Come on.” She told him opening the flashlight in her phone. Andrew followed her as she walked towards the house. “You own this land?” he asked. “Yes.” She told him, “ but no one knows that I own it.”

Andrew came inside and stood outside her room for a long time. He hand his one hand up to knock on the door but he was still hesitating. He heard her sobs from the inside and let his hand fall.   He sighed deeply and moved his hand through his wet hair. He leaned beside the door for a long time listening to her cry out.   •••   Ashley came back after a few hours and found Andrew sitting on the porch, drenched.   “Oh my, what happened to you? Why are you wet?” she asked coming in front of him.   “Clara pushed me into the river and I had no clothes to change into.” He told her.   “Miss Rose did that?” she asked surprised.   “Yes. Well… I did say something that I shouldn’t have said.” He said looking at his hands.   Ashley smiled gently and patted his back.   “All couples fight. Fighting brings them

Clara after signing the contract helped Andrew with his problems. She was still unsure why he had her sign such a contract. She thought that he must’ve lost his mind during the crisis. As soon as she started working she totally forgot about the contract. She was completely focused on the work at hand.Andrew and Clara worked together to find a few small solutions. They worked for hours and eventually forgot to eat anything. Hours went by quickly as they were so immersed in their work.•••Andrew's eyes felt tired from looking at the screen for a long time. He looked at the time. It was 4 AM already. He had worked the entire day without resting for a bit. He closed his eyes and rubbed them gently. Then he looked at Clara.Clara had fallen asleep on the sofa, in a sitting position, while reading a document. He got up and silently walked up to her. He took the papers she was holding in her hand and laid her down on the sofa

Clara sighed as she sat in the chair. “What a mess.” She said. She took her laptop across her desk and saved something on it. “Well, this would be enough if Angel can’t find the culprit in time.” She said. Just then David came back in again with his secretary. “Miss Rose you are no longer needed here as Mr. Bloom has been arrested.” His secretary told her, acting all high. “You shut up. Who gave you permission to speak? And doesn’t he have a mouth or did he just lose his voice in these few minutes?” she asked him in a cold tone. She imagined that this is exactly what Andrew would have said. The secretary looked at her half appalled and half angry. “Look here Missy,” David said, “Now that Andrew isn’t here, this company belongs to me and you are intruding in my workplace.” Clara laughed. “Who said that this company or any of Andrew’s things belong to you?” she asked with a smirk. “You have

She slowly opened her eyes and winced as her head hurt a little. “You’re awake. How do you feel?” Andrew asked looking at her. “My head hurts.” She told him slowly. She looked around and saw that she was in a hospital room. “Let me call the doctor.” Andrew said and went out. Soon he came in with a doctor and a nurse. The doctor checked her pulse etc. “How do you feel Miss Rose?” the doctor asked. “My head hurts a little.” She told him. “Give her a painkiller.” The doctor told the nurse. The nurse nodded and went to get the painkillers. “Well, there isn’t anything serious. You just have a small concussion on your head. You’ll be fine if you rest for a few days. If you feel anything else tell me about it.” the doctor told her. She nodded. The doctor left. She tried to get up. Andrew helped her. “What happened?” she asked him. “You know, I can’t tell if you’re just bo
