“They’re all settled out there. Edwin struggled to bring his foggy mind out of the peaceful depths of slumber. He worked hard to remember where he was as he caressed Kira’s sleeping form that was wrapped possessively in his embrace.  Thoughts of the most incredible love making he’d ever experienced rushed back to him and he smiled with satisfaction. Not only was the woman in his arms beautiful, but she was phenomenal in bed.The thought of her willingness the night before brought on an immediate erection. He was about to tease her sleeping body into wanting sex when a crash from the other room caught his attention and woke Kira with a start. All thoughts of sex went by the wayside as he and Kira lept from the bed and hurried to dress so that they could check out the commotion.Kira made a mental note to thank Edwin once more for the unusual looking, yet, easily donned and extremely comfortable shirt and britches as she followed him out into the main room. They opened the

Edwin took advantage of his time alone with Kira and Agatha to get to know them better. He made light of and spoke matter-of-factly about the bonding factor until Agatha eventually grew comfortable with things and forgot that she was supposed to be embarrassed.Feeling the need for blood, Kira excused herself to go feed on a dear or a wolf; promising to return as quickly as possible. “How did you know to find me?” Edwin asked as he sat down at the harvest table to enjoy the soup Agatha placed in front of him.“I cast a spell to be awoken when the shield was weakening,” she replied.“I know that,” he said, “but, me.  How did you know to find me?”“I was given a vision,” she replied. “I work with the ancestors.  They speak to me through thoughts, signs, and visions.”“Can’t they keep that vampire away from you and Kira?” Edwin asked innoce

It was early evening before Tim returned to the cabin after dropping Mark off at the train station.  It was clear he’d been drinking.“How are the roads?” Edwin asked as he quietly assessed his friend’s drunkenness.“I have to give the road crews in this part of the country credit. They’re keeping them in pretty good shape,” Tim managed to say.“Lucky you didn’t meet up with any cops.  You reek of whiskey,” Edwin said as he stoked the fire in the fireplace.  “I chopped some wood earlier. Are you up to helping me carry some in?”“I can do it,” Agatha offered from the darkened corner of the room. She’d been so quiet that Tim actually forgot she was there.  He turned to her with a look of stunned surprise and said in a slightly slurred voice, “You’re still here.”“Where would I go?” she asked.

The sun was just peeking over the treetops when Kira cautiously slipped out of bed, being careful not to disturb Edwin.  He’d had a troubled sleep, tossing, turning, and mumbling illegible words through the night; only settling down a few hours ago.  She was concerned about what troubled him, but didn’t want to awaken him to ask. She hoped he wasn’t having second thoughts and regrets about professing his love for her.  She couldn’t imagine being without him now that he’d come into her life.The squeaking of the door as she opened and closed it sounded painfully loud as it disturbed the peaceful quiet of the cabin.  She looked at Edwin’s sleeping form with concern, but he made no indication that the noise disturbed him.  As she tip-toed through the main room, a smile spread across her lovely face at the sight of Agatha sleeping soundly in Tim’s protective embrace.   She was happy that they’d man
