Miranda POV             After finishing an early supper, I went to my room.  I needed some time alone away from everyone to process what the Moon Goddess had done.  Giving me a wolf for a mate was rarely heard of.  How could this even work? I had no idea.  I was here to figure out who was trying to hurt Lily. I had picked up on a couple subtle things while out for our walk.  I would share that information with them all early tomorrow morning.  Rick had told me about the surprise ceremony for Lily in a couple days so we had to do things early tomorrow as Lily had some visitors who would be joining her later in the morning and then later again Kate would be here.             I was looking forward to seeing Kate again.  It was hard to believe it had been only a couple years since we last saw each other yet so much had happened

Lily POV            I was bursting with excitement as I watched the cars roll up.  My brother is Alpha to the Golden Moon Pack, along with Kate who shares the title with him.  For this reason, he always travels with warriors for protection.  The Golden Moon Pack is among the second largest Packs in our region.             I can see my mom waving to me from the car and as soon as the car stops, she jumps out of the car running up the stairs.  She takes me in her arms, “Oh my baby girl, I have missed you,” she murmurs with tears in her eyes.  “I’ve missed you too, mom,” I reply hugging her tightly.  “How are you feeling?” she asks through her tears.  “Mom, we can discuss all that in a bit,” I say as I see my dad impatiently waiting to give me a hug.  

Kate POV            Seeing Lily in much better shape than I had seen her when she was still in the hospital was by far the best.  I knew she was still experiencing headaches, but they were seemingly getting better.  And she was still trying to piece things together about the attack on her.  Standing there with tears in my eyes, we kept hugging each other.  Even though I had seen her in the hospital after the attack, she wasn’t herself.  Now I felt like I was seeing my Lily.            “How are you feeling?” I ask stepping back and wiping the tears from my eyes as she wipes the tears from her eyes.  “I am doing better,” she says but I can tell something is wrong.  “What?” I ask. Lily POV            Looking around the room at everyone, I shake my head.  “Am I the only one not getting anything in this crowd?” I demand as I look at each woman shamefully.  “It would appear so, dear,” my mom offers.  “Mom!
