Soft moans escaped Max’s mouth as I knelt in the shower and took his length into my mouth. This was hardly the first time I had taken the time to give my undivided attention to a lover, but it had never happened that I’d wish to make someone mine in more ways than just as a bed-partner. To take Max as a true mate, was what I really yearned for, but could not have. It left a bitter-sweet taste in my mouth. If I could mark him as my mate and keep him with me for the rest of his life, I would do it in a heartbeat. I, unfortunately, can’t, so making him feel as good as this, then I shall do what I can. I glance up to watch his face as his expressions shift from sweet pleasure to pure lustful passion. I can feel his fingers kneading through my strands of hair, tugging at it every so often. Now that he is allowing me to do these things to him, he has stopped making a fuss over us being intimate like this. Knowing he is enjoying this, but wanting him to feel more pl

The next day came all too soon. Neither of us wanted to continue the journey, but both of us knew we had no other choice. I feared Hafgan would use this moment against us, but so far, he had remained quiet. Perhaps fighting me off last night used up too much of his energy? One could only hope.“How far is the location we need to go to?” Max asked, his voice quiet. Although it was far quicker to ride his bike, last night he had decided to go slower today. I had agreed to it, so he heard no argument from me.“We still have a ways to go yet,” I responded. “We’re not even halfway there yet… it’s further northwest,” I remind him of our direction and then give him a small smile.“Right,” Max says, nodding slowly. He seems almost dejected by the whole thing, but there isn’t much I can do for him, other than offer him my comfort.Neither of us would have ever thought we would find our

After a relaxing few hours at the pier, we begrudgingly left to continue as much of our journey as we could in the daylight we had left. I figured we would still have a few days’ worth of travel, but with how quiet Hafgan had been, I wasn’t sure if things would continue to progress so smoothly.I decided I was going to monitor Max while in the air, to make sure nothing happened to him. If Hafgan took over without me noticing, then he would try to sneak away. I did not trust that soul one bit.It was a good thing I had done so. As I had expected, Hafgan tried to sneak off several times, but each time I stopped him from getting out of my sight. Without the ability to transform, he was powerless to stop me from following his every move and cutting him off.I stared at him, knowing full well that anyone who saw us might think the worst of me if I acted too harshly towards him. We were not in a vastly populated area, but there were enough humans around to make me think twice.“So tell me,

The monastery was cold as we stepped in through the front door, or what remained of it. The bulky wooden door was left loose on a single hinge. Despite the obvious wear and tear from the elements, it surprised me to find most of the place within to be preserved.“How old is this place?” Max suddenly whispered as we walked further into the place. When I was young, this place did not exist as it does now, but the place I needed would not have changed.Looking for the right door to lead us to where I needed to go, I replied, “the building itself is likely a thousand years old, give or take. However, it was built on top of what we are after. And that is as old as I am, if not older again.”“Oh, then how do you know it still exists?” Max then asked as we found ourselves at a dead end. I frowned and turned us back around to find another way to where we needed to be.“Because life itself would not have remained stable th

It felt like it had taken us hours to find the path to the overpass. I wondered if this wasn’t a spell the spirits had put over the place to keep them safe from intruders that might cause harm to the land they had taken as their own. The staircase down led us to what almost seemed like a mere storage room. Of course, there would be a trick to getting into the lower areas below the tower, but we would need to find the secret passageway. The others' chattering continued even as we searched. “So what was it you guys had come here for?” Max asked. “Did one of you get possessed too?” “Ah, no,” Kayden replied. “We came to find out why Rakesh’s powers and memory were gone. Or dwindling, at least. Rem’s with us because he decided that his new pack was getting too frustrating when they kept bothering him about offspring or something.” “S-shut up!” Rem’s retort was short, simple, but not effective at all. “It wasn’t even the werewolves asking about it…” he then said, much quieter than befor
