IN THE ARMS OF THE SNIPER のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

“What should I say to the police? They asked us to give testimony at the office regarding last night's accident case," said Calistha panicked. After the doctor finished examining Aiden's head and said that the man had a mild concussion, two police officers came to him and asked for an explanation of their accident. But Calistha immediately dodged the two policemen with the excuse that Aiden still needed rest to recover his condition. In fact, Calistha was confused with herself. There were too many enemies targeting them out there, so she was afraid to step out of the Emerald Hospital which she thought was very safe. “Ask Luca to silence the cops, I don't want the case of last night's accident to be investigated because it will endanger us all. As long as we don't know who really wants our death, it's better if we remain silent and look like idiots who don't know anything. But now I suspect El Diablo is the mastermind behind last night's accident because I believe that the slogan bel

"Crying will never bring back what has happened, so shut up and think about the next steps to fix your messed up life."Calistha looks still very devastated by Rocky's death caused by her carelessness. Even though they never knew each other, she felt really, really bad for Rocky. If she could, she wanted to go back and take proper care of Rocky's body. As a form of guilt, she wants to give Rocky a proper funeral service. Unfortunately Aiden didn't allow her to do that and only focused on what they had to finish soon. There were still many tasks waiting for them ahead, including finding another bastard who wanted to kill Luca last night. When remembering Luca, for some reason Calistha's heart suddenly felt sinking. She seemed to be getting an extra burden because she had to think about the lives of other people who could get in trouble because of her existence. Life is unfair, when she feels happy because other people around her and supporting her, they just seem to have bad luck becau

“Open your mouth! Don't be a stubborn, Aiden." Calistha growled in annoyance when she saw Aiden looking reluctant to eat his homemade food even though she had convinced the man more than ten times that the food she was cooking was really edible and safe. "I don't want to risk going back to that damned place again if I eat your food." “You think what I put in here, it's really safe. Here look, I also eat your food." Calistha angrily shoved a spoonful of risotto into her mouth and chewed it a little roughly to show Aiden that the food was safe to eat. During the three days accompanying Aiden in the hospital, Calistha began to learn to cook proper food for Aiden. When Aiden is sleeping, she will read recipes through Aiden's cellphone, then remember carefully the recipes in her brain. And yesterday when Aiden was allowed to go home by the doctor, she immediately went to the supermarket and shopped for household needs to fill Aiden's kitchen which had been rarely filled by the owner. In

For a long time, Calistha prayed in St Paul's Church accompanied by Aiden, who had only been staring at the people who were praying with a straight face. When feeling bored, Aiden then raised his wrist to look at his watch which was showing four in the morning. It turned out that he had been in that building long enough with Calistha. But for the serenity that this church offered, he liked it very much. He seemed to be able to forget his complicated problems for a moment while looking at the holy-looking people clasping their hands. “Do you want to accompany me upstairs? I want to see the view of the City of London from the top of the tower.” Without saying a word, Aiden immediately got up from his seat and walked towards the right passage that would lead them to the tower. Calistha who saw Aiden's silence was only able to follow the man in silence while observing every beautiful ornament that lay along the church aisle which looked dim and deserted. While she was busy observing the

The little girl struggled and cried loudly in front of two well-built men who had been looking furious because of the little girl's loud voice. They then took a cloth and started gagging the pale lips of the little girl who had been crying all night without stopping. "You should be quiet and not hurt our ears, this is the result if you keep crying non-stop." Luciana inched backwards, but her hands and feet that were bound to the wooden chair made her movements seem useless. She wanted to go home and be back with her friends. She wanted her brave uncle to come save her. Saving her was like the fairy tales of the princesses that she had often read. The two men were like the monsters that had sometimes been present in her dreams, on the night when she suddenly missed her mother. Luciana sobbed softly behind the cloth covering her mouth. As a girl who is still very innocent, she has been faced with the cruelty of the world that has succeeded in taking her mother. Blame God who ordained
