Pearl POV They always loved to give me a grand entrance. I stood behind the velvet curtains while the last dancer came back letting out a sigh of relief. Her lingerie wasn’t as complicated as mine, but then again, she hadn’t been here as long as me. She wasn’t as loved as me. The crowd was already cheering, already knowing I was next. “And up next,” began the announcer as I rolled my shoulders back and placed my hands on the inside of the curtain, “the one you’ve been waiting for! The amazing Pear!” I threw open the curtain, arms raised and beaming to the crowd. The cheering grew louder. But I didn’t see them, not against the lights. The pole stood in front of me and I strutted towards it with full confidence. I could care less about the crowd. Their cheers and praise were amazing of course, but most of it was coming from men who just wanted me for my body. Whatever it took to get paid. T

Evelyn POV The meeting went horribly. So horrible in fact that he pulled out his investment completely. When the interns were completely unprepared and their presentation was a shitshow I explained that they were new employees with this being their first meeting. I was hoping to get some sympathy out of Mr. Armstrong, but that’s when those stupid interns admitted that they were interns. Mr. Armstrong took great offence to the idea that I put interns on his meeting. “If I’m so unimportant that my meeting deserves mere interns, I suppose my investment isn't important enough for you. I’m pulling out.” In an angry huff, he left the room. I fired the interns on the spot. I spent the rest of my day hunched over my computer trying to patch things up with Mr. Armstrong and reconfiguring finances. Those dumbass interns ruined everything for me. Pearl POV In the middle of my routine, I noticed a woman with short red hair coming from the bar towards my stage. At least tonight the woman was interested in my performance instead of hiding at the bar all night. She made her way through the crowd of men as I slid down the pole in the splits. Eventually, she made her way to the edge of the stage and our eyes met. She was beautiful, with red curls that hung at her chin and piercing green eyes that could command anyone. She began throwing bills my way and as I glanced down, I realized they were hundreds. This chick had a whole stack of them! How loaded was she? Well, I always give special treatment to my biggest tippers, and I was going to enjoy this one a lot. I stepped away from the pole, strutting my way towards her, my shoes pounding against the floor. I got down and started twerking right in her face. After a few seconds of nothing happening, I turned to her and she was red in the face. 

Evelyn POV After work, I rushed home as fast as I could. The more I thought about it the more I realized that not only would I have to be discreet about spending my money there but I would also have to be discreet about being there in the first place. No one could recognize me there. So, I put on some sunglasses and a hat. Most of the time I was seen in the public eye I was always in business wear so I couldn’t wear my normal outfits. I almost put on sweats knowing no one would recognize me in those. Then I thought about Pearl and realized there was no way I was wearing sweats to see her. I grabbed the one clubbing dress I still had from my college days, a tiny black dress that barely covered my ass. Evelyn POV: Why on earth did I say no? As I fell asleep and got ready in the morning it was all I could think about. I felt so stupid! She was gorgeous, perfect even. And I just rejected her and left! What the fuck was I thinking?  As I approached the Frost Empire, I remembered why I said no. The media would eat me up. My father would probably disown me. The empire that my father had built up over his entire life would fall apart. My life would fall apart and I would be a joke. At least that’s what my father told me when I first came out to him in high school. But maybe there was a chance.
