Pearl POV:
I was once again standing behind the curtain on the stage. On stage one of the dancers was finishing up her routine and starting to grab the money on the floor to shove into her bra or panties. She wasn’t getting much, the dancers before me never really did. She turned back towards the curtains, faking a smile the entire time. Before she returned behind the curtain, she blew a kiss and came backstage. As she walked off, she was glaring at me. For the past couple of days there’s been an increase in my regular tips. Even though I could never spot her, there was no doubt it was Evelyn. None of the other girls got this increase and it was easily ten thousand or more every night. It’s been a couple days since I’ve actually seen her, but there was no doubt it was her.
Tonight, was different however. When I took a peek out of the curtain, there she was. She was casually chatting with Jimmy. She looked gorgeous. Of
Evelyn POV:“You did what?” Scott asked, eyes wide. Even though it was a Saturday we were having our weekly brunch at the local cafe. I had just told him the events of last night. Grinning from ear to ear.“I asked her out!” I squealed. I was so excited I didn’t even care who was listening. I had a date with her. A date with Pearl. It felt magical and butterflies leapt around in my stomach just thinking about tonight.“Do you even know her real name?” Scott asked as he cut into his omelette. That’s when it hit me that I didn’t even know her real name. I just knew her stage name. I pierced my lips. I was too horny for my own good. Scott laughed at my response. “God Evelyn you’re such a mess sometimes.” That’s when my phone rang. My father. Of course, he of all people would call on the weekend.“What are you doing out of the office,” he snapped as soo
Pearl POVIt’s 8 am now and I haven’t slept yet. Not even a bit. How can I sleep when I just got that message? After I received the envelope, I looked around for a while to see who left the envelope there but I didn’t see anyone, I had my pocket knife with me in case someone attacked me. ‘Bring 55K to me or I’ll leak the photo, tomorrow, 4 pm outside the club’I read it over and over again while wondering who’s doing this? I don’t understand, how would this person know that I have 55k with me? Why is this person blackmailing me and not Evelyn? She had a lot more money than me. Not that I mind though, I don’t want to stress her. And that means I won’t tell her about this as well.Anyway, talking about Eve
Pearl POV:All of a sudden, I felt a hand on my mouth and I got dragged to a small alley. I cannot turn and look at the person, but I know for sure that it’s a man. I keep struggling and trying to set free from him. “Stop moving. It’s no use” he said in a low and monotone voice. I don’t care and still struggling even though I know it’s no use, just like he said. “If you don’t want to get hurt, you better stop struggling” he spit, still using the low and monotone voice, but I can feel that he is getting annoyed, I don’t want to stop, but let’s be honest, I’m scared, I don’t know what he can do to me.
Evelyn POV:‘Why does a beautiful person such as Pearl decide to become a stripper? Was she in an unfavourable situation? Isn’t it dangerous for her?’ Scott’s words linger in my mind that whole afternoon. A loud ping and vibration from a rectangle gadget in my hand drew me back to reality. I found an unknown number texted me, but it takes a blink of an eye to know the sender. I never give my number recklessly, and of course, it also has its sender’s name. I immediately saved it as ‘Shining Pearl’ and answered her text. Time goes faster when you enjoy life, they said. I remembered I haven’t prepared for the date yet and it's already 4!‘Hey Pearl, I loved to chat with you over text. But let’s talk later, okay? Let’s get ready for a chat over dinner later. See you!’ I text her with a heavy heart. I left my phone on the vanity table and went for a shower. I use my favourite lavender bath bomb, pop some red wine, and enjoy it over music in my bathtub. Thinking about it later already mak
“It’s Pearl. Like any other people know me, that’s also how you should call me, Ms. VVIP.” Said Perl after a minute of pause. She tried to give her a calming smile, but Evelyn took it as an apologetic smile. Evelyn also takes it as a limitation Pearl set in their relationship. But, instead of getting angry, Evelyn felt rather relieved that Grace is not offended by her question. “You know, Pearl. That name suits you. Since you walk into this room, you blind my eyes with your bright but mysterious charm.” Evelyn said without blinking. “And please allow me to introduce myself properly this time. I am Evelyn Frost. You can call me Evelyn, or in my preferences, scream my name on my bed. What do you think, sunshine?” Evelyn surely knows how to flirt, even herself confused by the words. Grace’s face turns red, and she swears it can melt an iceberg right now. Thank God, for the waiter who delivered the dinner and helped Grace out of that situation. “Thank you for your praises, but I am not t
Grace POVIt’s my photos. Since before I arrived at the restaurant, while dining, and right in front of my apartment, there’s even our steamy photo taken from outside the car. The worst part is, Evelyn's face is shown a little bit in several photos. I don't mind if it just shows my face, but I'm afraid to involve Evelyn into a life I don't even know where it came from. Indeed, so far, I have often received threats like this, especially from customers I refuse to serve. Most of them only do minor abuse. Luckily this apartment complex is safe enough for someone like me.But this time it was different, because I didn't feel I had offended anyone. Of course, I was also thinking about Evelyn being dragged into my troubles. From her appearance, at least she held an important position, moreover her last name was Frost. Who doesn't know the influence of the Frost company in this country? I don't want to get Evelyn into trouble and ruin her reputation, especially when it comes to dealing with
Evelyn sensed that something was amiss with Scott this morning. Nothing is wrong. Scott arrived on time and kept bringing her breakfast as usual. However, Evelyn felt something was off. She couldn't find the oddity, even though she had been staring at Scott for a long time. "Evelyn, are you ok?" Scott met Evelyn's gaze with an indescribable look. "Yes. I just feel there is something different about you. But maybe that's just my feeling. Please read my schedule for today.” Evelyn said as she opened the file on her desk. However, she received no answer. "Scott?" call him again. "Oh, I'm sorry. I've been a bit distracted lately. I was thinking a lot about my mother who was sick, and how I should make her happy. I'm sorry, Evelyn. I will make sure it won't interfere with my performance again." Scott said with a slight bow. “Do you need time to be with your mother? You know, I already consider you part of the Frost family. Your performance doesn't change at all rega
“Again my apologies for what my staff's done, Miss. He's just a new staff member, maybe not used to working yet." The stall owner and staff bowed deeply. Grace was still frozen in place, trying to process the many things that had happened in the last five minutes. The red soup of her lunch already moved to her white blouse. It wasn't the accident that had taken her by surprise. Evelyn's reaction had silenced her even more. Only this time Evelyn looked so red with anger. She even immediately shouted for the owner.“Your apology won't make my friend's clothes clean again! Why are you being so careless?!” Evelyn snapped awake Grace."Evelyn, it's okay. These stains can still disappear when washed. After all, the waiter and the owner have apologized. So sit down and stop making me a spectacle." Grace whispered as she pulled Evelyn down. Evelyn shook Grace's hand roughly, which made her choke a little."Who do you think you are? You guys are just lowly peasants who might not be able to buy
