Chapter 11

NOVA’S POVBEEP BEEP BEEP BEEPI barely opened my eyes before once again shutting of my alarm. It was only 530 am and I didn’t need to get Sofia and Richard ready for school yet. If I was quick I would have time and frankly I wanted more shut eye.Stupid Clayton. He kept me up all night gushing about an invention Alexia made with her magic. Nova’s POVOur pack house wasn’t as large as most pack houses, but our pack also wasn’t very large yet. I felt like this would probably change as we were getting new members regularly. After all most packs assumed all rogues were blood thirsty criminals. It was even rarer for a pack to admit multiple species. This made our pack a safe haven for any rogue supernatural or hunter who just wanted home.Sure some more progressive packs would let someone of a different species join but only if their mate was in the pack. However, Most packs would kick out members who had a mate from a different species though. What a load of shit! Every time I thought about that and how most of our members had been rogues for that exact reason it pissed me off!The pack house was roughly the size of a church. It’s now been a week and I had delegated my responsibilities to the other members of our pack. Clayton didn’t need to worry as much as Amelia being the Luna could easily cover for him. But it would not be fair to expect her to handle all our responsibilities. I also just finished saying goodbye to Sofia and Richard. Usually they make a big deal if I leave them with someone overnight let alone for a few days. However Amelia was their favourite person on the planet. Partly owing to the fact that they never seem to hear the word no from her. They even referred to her and Clayton as their aunt and uncle. So given who they were staying with they didn’t make a fuss. I started putting me and Clayton’s bags that Amelia packed for him in the trunk of the car. The first thing to capture my attention upon seeing the castle up close was twelve beautiful square towers that seemingly pierced the heavens. They were connected by reinforced wide walls and the whole thing looked to be made of white granite. Tall, wide windows were scattered across the walls in an asymmetric pattern. Along with symmetric hole, presumably for archers in the case of attack. Intricately decorated wooden doors marked the entrance of this gleaming fortress. Looking at it gave me a feeling of awe and intimidation.“I don’t know what’s so impressive about it. I prefer the forest around our territory”Elly commented in my mind. “Of course you do,” I mentally replied while internally rolling my eyes. We had been exploring our rooms for ten or so minutes when there was light knocking at Clayton’s door. He walked to the door and upon opening it we saw a pretty girl with caramel coloured skin and curly raven hair. She curtsied in a simple baby blue dress before saying to Clayton,” I have the luggage of you and Beta Nova. Where would you like me to put it?” Clayton replied, “ Thank you for delivering them in such a timely and officiant manner. You can just leave them on our respective beds and we can unpack ourselves. The bags should have name tags if you have trouble figuring out who’s is who’s.” She nodded slightly before taking the bags off a trolley. Once she finished we quickly unpacked haphazardly not bothering to keep things folded. Both of us were too hungry to care much about our clothes getting creased. I didn’t think. I just pulled my arm out of his grip and ran. Elly was screaming at me for leaving our Mate but I needed to think.Yes, I want a Mate. I went back to my room after storming off. Clayton was standing there waiting for me by the desk. “ I could sense your distress through the link. I hope you don’t mind but I let myself in. Harvey’s POV I’ve never been so confused in my damn life. I finally find my Mate and after making a colossal dick out myself in the cafeteria she bolted. When I finally managed to track her down to apologize I thought things were going well until I told her who I was. I’m not sure what happened but she had jumped down without missing a beat. HARVEY’S POVI had barely been waiting and hour when my dad emailed me all the requested files. I began sifting through them immediately. I started with incidents involving rogues. As to me it seemed to be the most likely reason she had a grudge against me. I didn’t remember ever seeing her face before so the possibility she was exiled was unlikely. However I couldn’t find anything pointing her in these files I could look at those exiled. Even if she wasn’t banished it could possibly be that we exiled someone she cared for.I had been reading nearly fourty or so minutes when Paul came in. His expression looked a bit concerned. Worried I asked him, “ What if anything could you find out?”“ I found out a few things that are a bit odd and concerning. It turns out the pack they are registering is called Ash Wood and has many supernaturals not just Werewolves.
