Myla’s POV I woke with a strange feeling in my stomach. Hunger? No. Fear? I laughed as I dismissed the idea. No. This is something else. Something telling me to be prepared. I hopped out of bed wishing I could take a day off. I never let anyone from my pack know that every once in a while, I would like a day off to just be a girl. The other girls would go shopping, hang out, and just do things that most girls enjoy I always felt left out. Myla’s POV I led Cobalt to the packhouse. People whispered as we strolled by trying to guess why I had such a young boy following me to the packhouse instead of the jail. Finally, Barrett’s voice came through the pack link, “Alpha, has it happened? Have you found your mate?” The excitement in his voice irritated me. “No,” I answered back not bothering to hide my annoyance. "76I found a member of the Moon Eclipse pack lost on my territory. I am doing the honorable thing by offering him safe refuge while we make arrangements to return him to his pack.” I could feel the disappointment through the pack link. “Oh, ok, I will get a guest room ready.” With that, I closed the link. I headed to the exit, I heard it charge. It moved so silently that I wouldn’t have heard it if it wasn’t for my Alpha hearing. I spun around shifting before colliding with the body of the intruder. He was heavy, I stumbled back as his form slammed into me. Snarls and teeth-gnashing filled the air. I would not let this creature win. I bit down hard on his leg causing him to howl in pain. He jumped back a bit before charging me again. This time, I leaped into the air as he tried to slam into my body. I landed on his back. Sinking my teeth into the back of his neck, he roared as he tried to shake me off. He fell as he tried to grab me with his huge jaws again. When he hit the ground, I sank my teeth into his back, a large crack echoed through the air as his spine snapped severing his spinal cord. He yelped knowing he was going to die. All these clothes yet I have nothing to wear.” I sighed as I looked at the pile of discarded clothes. “Myla, you are crazy. You look beautiful in anything.
