AMBER’S POV I couldn’t bear the thought of placing everyone else in danger all because of me and the decisions that I had made. I had chosen to join the vampire coven and I had chosen to come here as a spy for them, I couldn’t risk the lives of the very people that I had intended to kill. I couldn’t even celebrate my father’s death because I was now so worried about the new threat that had been made against my life. I wanted to confront Natasha and ask her why she had chosen to betray the king that she had claimed to love so much but I decided to let her be because the perfect person to confront her about that was Chad. He was the king and she owed her loyalty to him and not me, she owed him an apology and not me. However, I was a little worried that we may have been a little late in getting to her. AMBER’S POV When we arrived home I just wanted to rest and do absolutely nothing. I realized after I took my shower that I was actually very exhausted and I needed to get some rest. I felt extremely lucky that Chad seemed to understand that because he didn’t even try to do anything with me after we got home.
