Chapter 12 Sierra All night I couldn’t sleep, and found myself tossing and turning in bed. Using that much magic should have completely drained me to the point where I should be unconscious right now, but for some reason I’m more awake then ever. I kept playing over and over in my head what happened. Why were there even rogues in the woods? How did they get past the protection spell? Alex obviously was protecting me, but why? I guess part of the treaty is to protect the town. Is that the only reason he jumped in front of me? Sierra Once Alex left on Sunday I finally felt like I could breathe again. I definitely needed the clarity and the distance from him. I find myself replaying every word, and every look and realize how ridiculous I was being. He was a stranger and I was probably never going to see him again. I threw myself into my school work for the entire day on Sunday, welcoming the distraction so that I would not think of him. I was typing up my English essay listening to music in my headphones when I noticed my mom standing in the doorway to my room. Chapter 15 AlexIt wasn’t until Friday morning that Elder Scott made his way over to pack lands. If I was going to have him check the border I wanted to make sure it was done before the start of our fall festival, especially with Sierra and Alyssa visiting.
