Ahsoka   I hold onto him for dear life, like he could be taken from me at any moment. Nico is stroking my hair as I sob into his shoulder. I have never felt so relieved to be in a man’s arms. I feel safe with him and I never want him to let go. I pull away and begin to sign but Nico stops me. “Do you not realize you have been talking since you woke up?” I look at him confused. I start signing again but he again stops me. “Ahsoka, Celine found the spell that prevented you from speaking. You can talk now. We’ve all heard it. Try.” I look at him like he’s crazy but Celine did promise she would try to get me to talk if there was a way. She must’ve found it. I sigh and give it a go. “Nico.” I gasp at hearing my own voice. Ahsoka  Though I have now been taught how to swim, I am not a strong swimmer and the shore is so far away I don’t think I’ll make it. I hit the water and I feel the sting of the impact. Thankfully it’s not winter so the water is not freezing. I see a rock to my left and I realize I came very close to dying. I struggle to keep my head above water as I try to make it to the rock I barely missed and once I safely make it I rest on top of it. It’s mostly in the water with the top barely skimming the surface, but at least it gives me something to hold onto until help arrives. I look around and try to judge how far it is to the shore but the memory of nearly drowning keeps me from trying. I can still hearing fighting above.
