Maliyah I was in the hospital for three days before they finally released me. Thankfully Terra was able to heal me and I feel good as new except she has exhausted herself and won’t be able to shift for a while. I am not sure how long that is, but it has made Aspen extremely paranoid. He hasn’t left my side all week, including coming to school and my cheer practices.  However, this morning he had a meeting back home so I finally get a chance to breathe a bit. The twins and I dress in our cheer uniforms and prepare to head down stairs when we are stopped by a bouquet of  black dahlias at the front door. “Why would Aspen send you black dahlias,” asks Olivia. “Yeah, aren’t they like a symbol of betrayal,” says Oliver. “Umm…I’m not sure. Maybe he doesn’t know what they mean and just thinks they’re pretty?” I set the flowers on the table after tos

MaliyahI am sure our side of the stands are louder than our opponents. We are winning twenty to twelve. We try to yell louder the crowd so we can be heard, but I am not sure that is possible.“G-O! Let’s go wolves! G-O! Let’s go!”The whistle blows indicating it’s half time. We cheer the boys as they head to the locker room while we make our way to center field. we drop our pom poms and stand in position. The music begins blaring over the speakers and we begin dancing. Girls are thrown into the air and land safely in the base’s arms. I smile as I see Aspen in the crowd as I do a double back hand spring. The sound of the music fades out as we pose from our last move. The crowd cheers as we make our way to the sideline. The twins and I head to grab some snacks.“Amazing performance,” says Aspen as he wraps his arms around me.“I’m so g

Maliyah This is really starting to get old. My shoulder feels stiff and I groan as my body protests my movements. I open and eye and thankfully the lights are off, meaning it’s the middle of the night. I look around and see Luca and Chris standing guard at the door, but no Aspen. ‘Terra?’‘We’ll be fine. Thankfully the silver bullet was removed.’‘Are you okay?’‘A bit drained, but I’ll be fine as well. You may have been asleep for about a week though, I needed to build up my strength.’‘A week?’‘On the bright side, we can shift again.’Well that is a plus. I am glad Terra has fully healed that we can shift again. “Maliyah, you’re awake,” says Luca as he comes into the room, followed by Chris.&ld

Maliyah We arrive at the conference room and I realize that everyone has arrived in person. Alpha Brian of the West Coast bear Pack is here with his mate Neera and  Interim Alpha Henri is here with his mate Sarah. They’re raising the previous Alpha’s son when he and his mate Camille died from the attack on their flock in France. Little Andre should be about six by now. Alpha Ghalen is also here with his sister Amara. It looks like Ghalen has yet to find his mate. Lastly, Dimitri is also here to represent the coven and elder Katla is here representing the dragons.Everyone gives me sad smiles, which is annoying, but I am glad they are not asking me how I am doing. I have been getting that question a lot lately and I am tired of answering it. I let Aspen lead me to two empty seats next to my parents just as the meeting is set to begin.“Good afternoon everyone. Thank you for coming,&rd

MaliyahThis last week has been pure hell. They think I haven’t noticed, but I have. My protection detail has doubled from what I was originally told. There are two permanently stationed in my apartment and like twelve in the condo across the street. They’ve done a pretty good job of remaining invisible, but I can still sense they are there. I may not see them, but I can smell and feel their presence. It’s really starting to annoy me. I swear even when I go to the bathroom, some of the female warriors follow in after me. Aspen has been staying over every night, not that I am complaining but I know it’s to keep an eye on me. This has gotten so out of hand even Olivia and Oliver are getting annoyed with the shadows that are following us. They’ve started to make excuses as to not go anywhere with me and I don’t blame them. It’s hard to have fun and let loose with a small army watchi
