Chapter Two
The evening has just started, and after saying hello to a lot of people and some ladies that looked like I just ruined their evening by being alive and Liam's wife, I feel exhausted already. And hungry. Some things are meant for some good cause, not like I liked that I was kidnapped. But throughout the night, Liam has been really close. Hasn't left my side and has never planned to. We've been linking arms and walking side by side. It's been what I've been wanting for ages now. The evening goes on and as usual, I am bored as hell.. But I've gotten pretty used to the boredom and how to act. Liam and I are standing together, having non alcoholic wine like he had suggested, when he gently taps me by the arm. "I have to go make a quick call. You'll have to stay here and don't move an inch" He says. "I won't, as long as we're beside this table. I'm not moving an inch" I beam gesturing towards the table that has not the very best of pastries but enough. "That'll do. I'll

The car pulls up in front of a very quiet and deserted place, with huge gates that are literally so tall it reminds me of something, something I can't wrap my head around. Before the driver would get the door for us as usual, Liam got out of the car and got the car door for me. "Thanks" I grin, walking out. "But don't you think we could have changed into something more meeting-ish… we look too fancy for a family meeting" I say and Liam eyes me. "Family meeting?" "What else would you call it?" I shrug. "I just want him to see that we rushed over here as soon as he asked for us. He should know we're busy, but would also make time for him" Liam explains. Liam's family are well off, from his father, to his brother, and to him. He was already a millionaire until he inherited half of his father's wealth and became the billionaire no one saw coming. And the fact he inherited half of it. Half! And why the hell did his uncle run for mayor, isn't that too much work for someone who h

~Scarlett~"Pregnant? You could have lied about something else Liam, why use pregnancy as a lie?" I scoff. My voice is loud, but thankfully we're farther away from Liam's uncle's house and now heading towards our car. Liam tugs his fingers in his hair and breathes out a sigh. "I couldn't think of something else. It was really intense. He's just touring me." "So what are you going to do now? He says until he sees a bump, he doesn't mind waiting for nine to ten months for me to give birth. He's not going to give it to you until I give birth. And me? Give birth? Get pregnant? Liam you chose the wrong lie" I am batting my lashes at him.. He's agitated, I can tell. But he's trying to keep his shit under control. "I know, I lied without thinking, I'll get everything under control. Just like I always have" He says. But his movements aren't under control. He's pretty agitated. I step in front of him, and give him a slow hug. He hugs me back immediately but asks. "What are you doing

I hold my breath staring at the man that has pulled me to his chest, like I am a child who needs comforting. Is it selfish that I want more? What did he mean by that? What is more that he wants? Is it me? "What are you doing?" I ask, looking up at him? "What does it look like I'm doing?" He winks. "Trying to squash me" I disengaged our hug, cuddle. Whatever that was. He laughs, "Right." "I'm tired" I yawn. "Same here, let's just head home, get some good sleep and talk about our baby later," He nods. "Again with the baby" I snap. He laughs "We have the future. We should make plans for the future, and being a contracted wife or not, little Liam male or female, must look like you." I roll my eyes ."Get a surrogate mother, I can offer my eggs, that's the least I can do" I shrug. "I want the baby out from you" Liam scoffs. I smack his thighs, playfully. "Get a grip."He laughs. "I am not a toy. Women are not" I shake my head. "I know, that is why men are lucky to have fem

*. "Liam" I call as I listen to his slow steady breaths in my dimly lit and quiet room. "Hmm" he hums in response, his chest vibrating under my cheek. Somehow we ended up lying down and hovering each other. With him holding me like I am about to break and my face on his chest. "You were about to tell me something," I point out. I think of other reasons Liam has to want to get married that didn't start and end with getting loads of cash. "What other reason?" Liam mumbles absentmindedly. I look up at him with a pout. "The other reason you have to get married" I say, stressing on every word. Liam shut his eyes close, his face passive and lips set in a firm line. "I didn't say that" I frown. "You did minutes ago" "And you were getting ready to sleep remember" he says lazily, throwing my earlier lie to my face. I huff, adjusting so I could see his face properly. My eyes meet with his magnificent jaw and follow the trail down his long neck. He is such a fine specimen.

Sia~. I force my eyes open as the realization that I'm alone dawns on me. I glare at the empty space beside me and a pang of disappointment waved through me ruining the day I am yet to even begin. But it was immediately replaced with anger at my awful husband. Is he always so happy to leave me alone? I roll my body to his side of the bed. Cold. Signifying he has been gone a while. So much for hopes of waking up with kisses. I pout. Liam is such a bad husband. Even if he is fake. I pull the duvet over my head, shutting my eyes so tightly together, it hurts. I wasn't sure why I'm so mad but all I know is I am extremely furious. I really should work on sleeping less deeply so I can be able to tell when the son of a cow slips out of bed. He must be blind to have seen someone like me on the bed and still able to work out. I move out of the soft bed with the duvet draped around me as I drag my feet along to the bathroom grumbling incoherent words to myself. But then I change m

. I step out of the car and mutter a quick thank you to my driver as I proceed to going into the castle- or should I say house, before me. It takes all self control for my mouth to stay close and not hang agape. Nested on the large plot of land is a mansion. The mansion is all concrete and tall glass windows with tall ceilings. The mansion stands there as if the surrounding nature has embraced it. "Wow" I mutter breathlessly. The large house is surrounded with the best amenities money can buy, a tennis court, a sixty five foot pool, an extensive garden and even a walking path. Like the castles in fairy tales. I gasp, tightening my fingers around my purse as I step into the castle. The inside is way better than anything I could have imagined. The art nooks, rounded corners, crown moldings and archways installed at all the right places gives the house a luxury touch. I stay rooted in place on the ironwood flooring that probably never creaks. Ten rooms. An indoor gym and a dr

"I can give you some time to think about the offer, if you aren't sure" Evans offers politely, not making any move to push me into agreeing. Modeling, I picture myself before thousands of cameras giving killer poses and the photographers trying to get my good sides. Or the people feasting their eyes on me as I cat walk through the run way. There's no runway Scarlett, I shouldn't get ahead of myself. I gush internally, nibbling the biscuits. "There is no need, i agree" I chip in but slowly pretending to have reconsidered the offer so as not to appear too eager. I want to do it. The thought of it alone gives me thrills so why should I pass up the offer. Liam shouldn't have any problem with me working as a model, and he probably is already aware of the offer. A furrow appears between his brows, "Really?" he pushes doubtfully. "Of course. It's a nice deal and I would like to model for the project" Evans' smile widened. "That's excellent news, I will begin the preparations for

My jaw drop open in shock. I immediately gather my composure snapping my mouth shut. "What does that mean?" I demand irritatedly, refusing to believe I heard correctly. Liam pins me down with his intense gaze, his stance rigid. I study the lines of exhaustion and stress on his face as he narrows his gaze on me. "Liam…" I begin to say. "Forget it" he grumbles a note of bitterness in his voice, his brows curve into a frown as he cuts me off before I can implore further. I scoff internally. He can't just go about dropping bombshells like this every time and expect me to forget it, telling me to forget it like it's nothing. "This is…" Liam gave me one last look and moved past me heading for the exit, ready to leave. Oh no you don't, I grab his arm quickly causing him to halt. "Tell me, I want to know" I insist. "Why did you say that?" Liam didn't even spare me the tiniest glance as he shoves my hands off and storms out of the room slamming the door shut, leaving me in a conf

I lean back a little, watching him watch me. Spend time with me, as in, on a date? I bit back the smile beginning to form, maintaining a passive look.I Clear my throat. "Are you sure you do not have something urgent to attend to?" I push. He smiles slowly. "It's just you and me today, at all time" I know I should not let what Liam just said to me get to my head but that did not stop my inside from rejoicing and gushing internally.
