Chapter Eighty OneHenry POVI found her just where i had expected, she was having her regular break at the cafe down town and was also scrolling through her phone. Her brows were creased and her eyes fixated on nothing else, she was lost in her world that she didn’t notice me come by until i was pulling the chair opposite her. Her eyes tugged up and they stared at me, wide. The straw in between her lips fell and her mouth formed an ‘o’.“You could get kidnapped, you know.” I started and she shut her mouth and then rolled her eyes at me. “What a blissful way to say hello.” She remarked and took another sip from her cup. “What are you doing here Brian?” No one called me Brian, no one except Avery who had her way with me. I didn't mind it, infact, I enjoyed that she acknowledged me like that.“I am here to make sure you don’t get kidnapped.” I answered and she laughed again, she was the type who didn’t laugh as much. She kept her demeanour serious at all times yet she caught unto my h

Chapter Eighty-ThreeViolet PovThere was something off when mother came by that morning, her eyes had no light in them and the way her lips quivered had me unsettled, even when she assured me that everything was fine and that she just wanted me home for a while, a part of me didn’t settle with that. Ansel and Henry had been out for most of the day and when I saw how much mum wanted me back I made up my mind to follow her back home. I wanted to see the twins and dad, even though he wasn’t the best fathers i wanted to look at him one last time. Mother was going to file for a divorce and it was all we needed to be free from him. It was all we needed to stay clear but for now I was to come back.“I don’t think you’ll have to reach out to him, i’m sure he’s fine.” Mother said when I tried calling again, it went straight to voicemail. This was unlike him, he would’ve picked it up, i tried again but this time it says he was on another call. My frown deepened and I wondered who the person mi

My eyes widened and i turned to her, her face was suddenly red and her eyes drenched with tears. Why?- I haven’t done anything to her.“Ansel- I- i- i came over to apologize but she started saying mean things to mean and said it was my fault for getting in this position- I i - didn’t mean- mean to up-set her with- my presence.” Maureen lied through her teeth while tears poured down her eyes, I turned to her and she was already staring at me, even underneath the tears i could see the mischevious glint in her eyes.“I- swear- i- I- I didn’t think she- it’s all my fault, everything is- is all my fault- everything like this is my- fault. If i had- had paid- more- a

Chapter Eighty-SevenLaila POVONE MONTH LATER Jim finally found jonathan and we were able to find the twins, they were safe and Jim made sure to teach Jonathan a lesson for threatening my family, he was bashed beyond recognition. Mother pleaded with Jim not to kill him and he reluctantly obbeyed. Glen on the other hand had been intercepted by special ops of werewolves. Jim informed us that Gloria had reached out and they tackled Glen and destroyed everything they experimented on and locked him away at a special facility. It was all over and i was supposed to be happy that it was but i couldn’t. “Vi- we should get that, what do you think?” Mother asked as we shopped for materials, the divorce had run through successfully not after making sure to leave an imprint on dad.I nodded absentmindedly as I followed her gaze and then reached out to touch a pink material on the cover. It was soft and smooth, when I tried to pull it out it didn’t budge until I found another pair of hands grabb

Chapter 89Violet POVI rubbed my face one last time and then watched as Ashley did her little dance, it was nothing I wanted to seat here and watch-“Hey violet. What do you think about this?” Avery asked and I turned to her, she had a single piece of lilac material and another of peach. “I don't know which of the two your mother would like, I tried asking her but she seemed so busy with Jim I decided to come ask you.” “Peach-” Ashley answered and I turned to her, she had stopped dancing and placed her fingers on her chin, her face was less sweaty than before and she pouted her lips when she found me staring.“What? You know she likes peaches.” she shrugged and turned back dancing. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Avery who had a sheepish smile on her face.“Shes right, Mums favourite colours are peaches.” I said and Avery nodded. I was staring down at the planner in front of me when my phone started buzzing. My heart thumbed in my chest when I found the name, I paled and my mou
