The Moon Goddess' Mate のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 41 - チャプター 50

“I thought you left?” I said as I came to a halt beside Jasper on the front porch of the Alpha House. Jasper’s presence at the pack in the last few days had been scarce, to say the least, the lack of confidence Moon Shadowers displayed after his return was both interesting and sad to watch after all Jasper had come to mean to the pack. “Can’t say it hasn’t been tempting.” He shrugged his left shoulder. “They were hurt when you left so suddenly… We all were.” I added softly. “That’s the one thing I miss the most about living alone in the woods.” He shook his head regretfully, “Too bad the Moon Goddess couldn’t leave me alone.” He scoffed softly, the irony of his words was not lost on me. “You missed the party you know?” My jaw tensed. “Not really my scene.” Jasper looked at me for the first time sending me a tight smile. “Why haven’t you left, Jasper?” I angled my body to face him and crossed my arms over my chest, I was curious to know his answer. “Alaster Dark is still after

“ My dearest Fia, There are days I awake with your laughter echoing from my dreams, days the warmth of the sun on my skin reminds me of your touch and days I long to tell you of my adventures; the one thing all those days have in common is the unique torture of being away from you. It becomes harder every day, harder to remember your smile, harder to recall the sweet sound of your voice. I miss you.  I don’t think I ever told you this, but as I trek further into the forest, hiding from rogues in trees and building fires for the warmth it’s all I think about. You were- you are my best friend, and you’ll always be.  I wonder often, what you&rsqu

I couldn’t stop laughing, Jasper was telling me a story of the time he was chased by a wild boar.  “It was terrible, Sophia, I’m a werewolf and it didn’t care! I had to climb a tree to escape the damn thing and luckily it was a strong tree cause the thing kept headbutting the tree trunk.” Jasper complained invoking yet another round of hysterical laughter. “Oh, poor thing, how long did you stay in that tree?” I teased, trying and failing to control my giggles.  “All night…” He mumbled and I smiled to myself, “don’t laugh!” He groaned through the phone.  “I can’t help it, my imagination is too vivid.” I chu

“That’s preposterous, I won’t allow it, no way in hell!” Alpha Devin brought his fist down hard on the desk and I flinched as the table vibrated under the pressure. Despite being as shocked as he was by Jasper’s suggestion, I could see the logic behind it. Alpha Allison glanced at her mate and sighed, “Jasper, what you’re asking… It isn’t a night out at the movies, you’d be putting yourselves in real danger.” She emphasized the last part and she wasn’t wrong, what he was suggesting was a suicide mission with all the men Dark has searching for the talisman, but if we succeeded that would mean we would finally have the upper hand on that psychopath. “Alpha Allison,” I sighed and glanced at her mate who was glaring intently at Jasper, “what Jasper’s suggesting is crazy, I agree, but think about if we find the talisman. We can’t let something that powerful fall into the hands of a murderous psychopath like Alaster dark.” I glanced at Jasper from the corner of my eye. “I’m going wit

AMIDST THE SHADOWS OF NATURE, AT THE CENTRE OF THE LOTUS, LIES THE LIGHT OF THE SEEKER Did the clue refer to the Moonstone? The Curator did say the stone was luminous. “Do you think it will be that easy? We find this lotus in the shadows of nature and there’s the Moonstone?” I frowned, looking at the tiny board we took from the museum, clearly, no one would miss it if they never found it before. “Something tells me it isn’t going to be that straightforward. Whoever stole the stone clearly went through a lot to make sure it remains lost in time, but to leave clues behind? They definitely want someone to come to find it.” Jasper answered from his seat beside me on the train. FLOWER, EXISTS THE LIGHT OF THE SEEKER. The words echoed in my head aimlessly, I had no idea what a lotus flower even looked like nor what the shadows of nature entailed. “If you think any harder your hair might catch fire.” Jasper’s teasing voice sounded behind me as he stepped onto the tiny balcony.
