I answer in an heartbeat."You just have to show him." Mom says, and I nod, my eyes well with tears again."Come girls, let's set the bath tub, and the rest of you can begin the cleansing ritual." Lily says, and they all start moving, except Zoe who stays by my side."If I do die, I would die happy, because you gave me a second chance, and hearing you were willing to get consumed by dark magic, just to save me, trust me, I would die smiling."I stare at her, with wide eyes "Are you mad?" She laughs at my exclamation, and say nothing, making me smile a little, but then

Wake up, and be true to yourself, embrace the darkness in you, wield it, Adaline Vulkov, or they will kill you."I need to speak to that Seer one more time. Now, I see that everything happened the way it was supposed to, most of my step were predestined, but I forged my own way. She told me to embrace and wield the darkness in me, which is what Alexandru also said, but I did the opposite, I went to seek for darkness, for an external one.I didn't know I had everything I needed in me, how insane to find my equilibruim in my enemies' dungeon.I have found a way to banish the Ancestors, because for one, they are self appointed, two, we have actual Ancestors, dead and consecreted witches, New Orleans witches, I just have to find a way around it."Do you und

I say, relieved."Zayd, Tony and Peter, you will be here, guarding our friends, do not let anything happen to them. Addie and Mom will seal off the door, you will only be able to come out, and the place will be sound proff, so whatever conversation you guys have won't get out.""Mom, Camille and Zoe, you are together. Adaline Point of View."This is called Farewell's Embrace." Lily says, and I nod, standing opposite her."This is what we need." Selena says, and I look at her."A lock of your hair," She says, and I pinch it out, giving it to her."Something that belonged to Zoe." Blu says, and I go inside, bring out her necklace, give it to them."A vail of moonlit water, and a spring of nightshade, which we have here." Lola says and I nod."One last thing," Mom says "A piece of parchment and quill."Alex hands it to her, and I nod at him. We are in Zoe's room, the one she spent her last days. They light candles around the space to create a boundary and invoke protective energies.Everyone walks out, leaving us alone.
