In the otherwise quiet room, the sound of her heels smacking the floor caught his attention. Kevin was sitting on the divan, a cigarette in his hand. He pressed the bud to his mouth and sucked in, gray eyes fixed on her bare back before resting on her reflection in the full length mirror. She was dressed in a red gown with a pleated square neck, a long side split, and backless— the only support came from a pair of thin straps that were meant to hold the dress from slipping down. Her hair was elegantly bunned. There was no makeup on her face except for a subtle shade of red that was smudged over her plump lips.Kevin licked his lips and flicked the cigarette into the bin, eyes gleaming as he examined the straps of her gown. He lowered his face and smiled a little before rising from his seat and approaching her, standing close to her. Dangerously close. Emma's breaths hitched, fearful that this closeness would result in another leg numbing session. When his cold fingers touched her b

“Really? Then back it up. Give her to me for the night." Ivan stated, his emerald green eyes looking right into Kevin's, indicating he wasn't joking. He meant what he said.Kevin stilled. The words that left the other man's lips sparked his temper and the confusion stirred further realizing how his heart clenched. How fucking painfully his heart clenched. The mere thought of sharing her, letting another man touch her was awfully disturbing for him. "Mind saying that again?" In contrast to Kevin's calm demeanour, his tone was rather harsh. His words carried a deadly threat. A little smirk fell onto Ivan's lips seeing Kevin's sudden distress and he felt the need to tease him more. Kevin was enraged, Ivan could tell."Sometimes I wish I had met her first," Kevin heard Ivan say. "You are too fortunate to have such a beautiful woman," Ivan chuckled. "I'd like to have a chance with—" "Shut the fuck up!" Kevin husked out, his voice becoming increasingly deep."Why not?"Kevin's eyes narro

Kevin pulled over in front of his glorious mansion and got out, his hair a little messy, longer strands of it flawlessly falling on his forehead complimenting his grey eyes. The black shirt he was wearing was partially untucked from his pants, and only a few of its buttons were fastened. Seeing him, the chauffeur jogged over to the other side of the car and hurried to open the passenger door for the lady, but there was no one inside. Instead, he spotted a petite figure lying in the backseat. The chauffeur seemed surprised but quickly flung open the back door for Kevin and took a step back waiting for his order. "Leave!" Kevin commanded not wanting another man to see her in such an exposed and vulnerable state. Bending down, Kevin covered her bare shoulders with his huge jacket and picked her up in his arms, her head resting on his chest and it was surprising but his heart began beating excruciatingly fast with the mere contact. Kevin felt his body tingle as her slow, warm breaths

Once the meeting was over, Kevin walked out of his private chamber and proceeded to the bar. A loud sigh of relief escaped his parched lips as he loosened his tie and unfastened the top button of his white shirt. Work has been quite stressful lately. It's a fallacy that success brings ease. The more successful you are, the harder you have to work. Leaning against the counter, his gray eyes looked around at the people dancing and having fun. Youngblood, feral desires. His gaze was soon drawn towards Alex who just walked out of one of the private rooms. "How's the meeting?" He asked as soon as he got closer. Kevin gave him a dubious glance, not appreciating his negligence at work which was the sole reason they were there. "I reckon you do remember why we're here," Kevin taunted and ordered a scotch."Come on, she's so tempting. How could I say no to her," Alex winked as he reached for tequila from the bar."Man, she's wild," Ivan chuckled, and Kevin's gaze followed him, only to see

Mind racing with scattered memories and gluing them back together he tried to comprehend the turn of events that happened to him since the day he met her. He's changing and it's frustrating. Irrational. Absolutely ridiculous. As soon as Kevin entered his mansion following a five-day business tour, all heads bowed in unison. It's midnight. "Would you like to eat dinner, Sir?" Amanda asked politely as she hurried forward to take his coat, but he refused."Has she eaten dinner?" Kevin asked, his gaze drawn to the closed door of her room, only to find it besieged with darkness. She must be sleeping. "Yes, Sir!" Amanda responded, unsurprised by his concern for her. It's now become a habit. He always asks her about Emma. Kevin hummed and returned his gaze to the closed door. Even though he had returned earlier for Emma, just to see her, feel her, and hold her in his arms, Kevin made his way to his study room, wanting to banish her thoughts that had been troubling him. He was thinking a
