Nikolai I dutifully stayed there, nuzzling her and allowing her the space she needed to get it all out of her system. It took a good long while before her cries died down. I felt the exhaustion wash over her like a tidal wave and smelt the adrenaline crash. Her body slowly went limp as she drifted off into an exhausted slumber, leaning on the tub for support.I would wake her at some point, however right now all she needed was the chance to allow her mind to calm down and heal, and to help move past whatever demons were riding her hard. Only time could allow that to happen. And sleep would be more beneficial than anything else right now.
