As Alexa left her father and started off towards home, she went through all that her father had said and felt her spirits lift. So her mother was not a bad person afterall, she had been in love and had left, not wanting to wreck the home of her lover nor endanger her daughter's life. Mother didn't abandoned me. She just didn't want me to be in danger. She must have known that her lover's wife would not treat me well but she had to choose between the lesser of two evils to keep me safe. If the Alpha had found out, not only her but I would have been killed instantly. It was a tough call but she did what she thought was best at the time.'If that is the case, why didn't she take me with her?' Alexa recalled asking her father.'She left immediately after giving birth to you and was in a very weak state and I hoped she would go far and be safe but travelling in the wilds at night with a new baby in the heat of the sun and the chill of the night, I could not take that chance and she felt yo

'An invitation just arrived from the Alpha King', Camellia squealed with delight to her mother. 'The Alpha King is throwing a party to make an important announcement and I am sure it is going to be the announcement of my engagement and marriage to his son!' she danced about happily.'That foolish girl had been useful afterall. She got us the highest position we could ever have dreamt of!' Amelia said smiling with utmost satisfaction. 'You are going to be the Lyncan queen by virtue of your marriage to the prince who will soon become the Lyncan King!' They both smiled.'And the best part of it all is that we didn't have to do anything about it. Your step daughter did the work for us and we ate just to sit and enjoy the dividend of her hard work. What a pity, she won't even be alive to see it!' she made a funny face and the both of them burst into laughter.'Have you heard from the men you sent to kidnap and kill her?' Amelia asked her daughter.'No, but they come highly recommended', sh

Alexa was not the only person who saw Prince Hector looking at Alexa as though mesmerized. Camellia saw the look too and this enraged her further. Why could the goons not perform a simple task properly? she thought. She had not gone through the lengths she had gone through only to have Alexa ruin all her plans for her. But first things first. She had to see how today's events ended. Then she would deal with Alexa.Camellia saw the mesmerized look Hector was giving someone and followed his gaze. When she saw who Hector was staring at as though struck, she knew that Alexa was no ordinary woman and made a note to beware of her and thought, how many women will I have to contend with for Hector's affection?Wayne saw it and his body tensed. Why was that man staring at Alexa so intimate and why was Alexa looking so flushed and stealing glances at him? What was going on? Did Alexa know this handsome man? Wayne admitted grudgingly to himself that the Prince was indeed handsome and that did no

Andrew did not understand what was going on. He was under the impression that apart from the announcement making Hector the next Lyncan King, the next was the official engagement of the Prince to his daughter. How come there was another candidate? What was the role of Camellia going to be then for giving the Prince an heir? 'Amelia, what is all this about?' he asked his wife 'Wasn't Camellia supposed to be the Prince's Luna?' 'After receiving the invite to this event, Camellia decided to visit the Prince' and personally thank him and see her son as well', Amelia explained. 'that was when she heard of the Lyncan King's plan to make Challotte the Luna and Camellia the Prince's breeder. Someone who didn't think Challotte was worthy of the title, 'Luna Queen', may have made the video available to expose her promiscuity!' It was starting to make sense to Andrew. Alexa who had come when Amelia was explaining all to her father, looked at her step mother in suspicion. 'That someone could n

Challotte Hills was not going to take the humiliation lying low. She called her goons.'Find out who is responsible for the leak of that damn video!' she instructed. The person was going to wish they had never been born when she was through dealing with them. But first, she had to speak with Hector. If I can somehow convince Hector to take me back, then his father shouldn't be a problem, she thought.'Hector', she said as soon as she entered the living room. 'I am sorry for embarrassing you tonight', she said walking up to him and wrapping her arms around his waist from behind and resting her head on his back.'Embarrassing me!' he scoffed. 'You mean humiliating yourself? What has that got to do with me?' he asked.'Right!' she agreed. 'It looked really bad but I am sorry. It will never happen again.Hector flung her hands away from his waist. 'You're damn right', he said, 'it will not happen again because I will not give you the opportunity to embarrass me nor my family again!''What
