BEING MRS BILLIONAIRE のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

Evelyn was exhausted from her little adventure of touring the mansion. Her body aches from last night's exercise. She is still sore. She had toured every part of the mansion. She thought it would take at least a week before she would get used to the mansion, which she just discovered has three kitchens and four living rooms. The mansion also has a media room with twenty sitting capacity. There is a general gym on the ground floor. But, there is another private gym beside her room. The grand mansion has a ballroom for parties and other events. It also has a very large indoor swimming pool. She discovered that there were twenty bedrooms in total inside the mansion. Although, the staff quarter was at the back of the mansion. She saw the wine vault that has different brands of both alcoholic wines and non-alcoholic wines. The best part of the house is that. There is a helipad on the rooftop of the mansion. And that was when Evelyn knew that Alex had a chopper. At that time,

Evelyn's POV I dragged Alexander away from there to somewhere more private. "Alex, What was... ". He did not let me finish my questions before his lips captured mine in intense kissing. I melted in his embrace. I struggled a little to pull away but I gave up the fight and kissed him back. We kissed like we had been starving for days. I missed his touch. But who am I deceiving? I just left him not quite two hours ago. But when I remembered that I was on a business deal. I bit him hard so I could escape his grip. And it worked. "Ouch. Why did you do that". He screamed and bled a little. "That man there is a top client. And you just interrupted our business discussion" I complained "You left me no choice, Evelyn. I could not reach you, and I need to talk to you. It is important.". He said. And continued "I miss you" "Look, I can't do this now. I have to return to my client". I replied "Please, hear me out". He begged. Hearing him begging for my attention weakens me. And I

She was shocked. She thought he would fight back. She was doing all that so he wouldn't think he could control her. But, she wasn't expecting him to take it to heart. She instantly regretted her actions. She ran outside to catch up with him. As soon as she got out. He was already driving himself out without any bodyguard. She felt bad. But, she felt good at the same time. She never wanted to be under the control of anyone. She remembered how her father used to control her every move. He controlled what she ate. He controlled who she hung out with. He practically controlled everything she did. She had promised herself that she would never allow herself to be controlled by any man, no matter who the person might be. The way Alex spoke to her made her feel like he wanted to control her. But, in honesty, she also wanted to make their relationship work. Though in her terms. What Evelyn doesn't understand is that marriage doesn't work that way. Alex was ready to make it work out. B

Alexander shut the door as he walked inside his bedroom. His gaze fell on Evelyn's hand. He was looking at his shirt. She quickly hid it behind her as she smiled. When she realises that he was not returning her smile. She returned the shirt to the closet. "Get ready. We are visiting my family's house in fifteen minutes ". He informed. Evelyn walked out of the closet and scowled. "I have a flight to catch in two hours". She informed him. "You're in the habit of not checking your phone for messages. I am sure you've been informed that your journey has been cancelled till further notice". He updated her and walked into the walk-in closet. He started undressing himself. Evelyn walked in with him digesting what he said. "Who cancelled my flight?" She asked Alex. Alex dons a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. He looked at her and replied. "I don't have that information. Your P.A. should know". He shrugged. She realises that this is her chance to make things right between them. "I am

Joel Carter has always hated his daughter. He hated Evelyn so much ever since she was a child. And, knowing that she is the sole heir to Carter's Empire. The hatred he had for her has now turned into Jealousy. At least, he was able to fake love for his daughter before his wife passed away. If only his wife was able to give him a child of his own. Evelyn wouldn't be the only heir. Evelyn used to be a very playful and cheerful child. She grew up well, thanks to her Grandfather, who has always been there to supervise her Nanny, Josephine who was like a mother to Evelyn. Josephine was accused of poisoning Elizabeth Carter. Evelyn's Mother when Evelyn was eighteen. Josephine was sentenced to twenty years imprisonment. Despite all evidence pointing to her as the culprit. Evelyn still visits her in prison.
