Lahat ng Kabanata ng Mated to My New Stepbrother : Kabanata 81 - Kabanata 90

Mira’s povI stayed at the stairs that night, looking at the bulb that flickered in the distant. I didn’t know what to do or how to keep this feeling that was growling within me.It was too much to handle and all I could do was think of all the ways I could break in there and tell my mother that Kayden was my mate, but that would do little to help me. In fact, it would only cause more problems once they find out that I had bonded with Kayden.I sighed and got up to the sound of my mother and alpha remy really getting into their sexual moment.I took in deep breaths as I shook my head and looked at the door.“Where is Jamie?” A voice said behind me as I turned to see Kayden.“Shouldn’t you be like a thousand miles away from me?” I asked. “Our parents are back together. There is no hope for us.”He looked around as I smiled. “No need to bother. No one here knows about us. Everyone into busy trying to understand what’s going on between my mum and your dad to even look at me.”“Look, I ju

Mira’s povHe grunted over the phone but finally accepted as I cut the call and smiled at a fuming Zane.“See? That wasn’t so hard.”Zane wasn’t happy about that but she decided to play along with me.A maid came to tell me to help them carry something as we were short staffed and we went to help. For the next hour and a half, we were doing chores before Cameron joined us.“Hey, guys,” he said as he saw us lifting a tent to fix it. “What are you guys doing?”“Helping. You should be doing the same,” I grunted as I successfully lifted it to its position before standing back to make sure it was okay.He looked at Zane and they both looked away.“Okay; one of these days, you both will tell me what the matter is between you two. Until then, just help me fix things around.”Kayden showed up and looked at me. “Can we talk?”I looked at my friends before nodding and following Kayden away from the crowd. He led me to his room as he sat down and leaned forward. “How are you?”“I’m doing okay. I

Kayden’s pov“Kayden,” I said shaking his hand as he nodded.“You’ve got a firm grip there,” he chuckled nervously. “No wonder your pack members keep on praising your strength. Your guards especially.”I nodded and tried to walk around him as he spread his arm to halt me.“You’re free today, yeah?” He asked as I held my breath and tried to not say anything that would piss me off.“I’m kind of busy.”“I know but… we can hang out. I just want to get to know the guy who would soon be the stepbrother to my best friend.”I nodded. “Fine, what do you want to know?”“Just wanted to know if you were free.”“Now I’m not thanks to you.”My words were abrupt and a bit rude but he needed to know that as he looked away from me to see the oncoming maids.“You don’t have to be rude. How about we hang out together?”I shrugged. It didn’t look like I would hate him so I agreed. We went to a balcony to look out amongst the crowds before us. That was when I saw her.Mira stood among the maids, talking a

Mira’s povThe sun kissed over the trees that morning, illuminating the sky in shades of rose and gold. Today was the day. The day of my mother’s wedding. Alpha Freya was marrying Alpha Remy.I stood there by my window, overlooking the pack grounds below, as they steadily filled with life. Flapping flags of gold and white peppered our lands. Flags from near packs billowed too—packs with wolves, moons and foreign symbols I hadn’t ever seen. The guests had come last night but more were still arriving- lined carriages down our long driveway while standing warriors scanned them coming through.Everything inside the packhouse felt like a rush. Maids were rushing up and down hallways, fixing ribbons, flowers, lightning scented candles. The entire place smelt of fresh roses and sweet vanilla. I could hear laughter and music from outside as soft drums played in the courtyard. It was happening.Jamie burst through into my room in her little flower girl dress. Her hair was curling up so it had

Kayden’s povSince I was done with Mira, I turned away from the garden as I needed to stay alone for a while.I needed to clear my head. The noise of the party was drowning out my thoughts.I didn’t want to control her. I just didn’t want that guy around her. Not Lucas. Not after what he had done to her in the past. And now she hated me for it.I slowly walked with my hands in my pockets as I made my way to the back of the packhouse and went to a small lake where no one would find me.I stood there for a while as the muffled sounds of music bared through the crowds. Then I heard it.A soft rustling of grass. I heard footsteps.I didn’t even need to turn to know who it was. The smell of it hit me before anything else. Thick. Familiar. Arrogant.“Stop hiding, Lucas,” I said loud and clear, not having to turn around to know it was him. “You’ve always been a chicken, don’t start sneaking now.”Then I turned, slowly, and there he was — Lucas, stepping out from behind the trees. His face wa
