Lahat ng Kabanata ng Take My Husband, Let Me Marry Yours: Kabanata 11 - Kabanata 20

SELENA’S POV:FEW DAYS LATER:After everyone had left a couple days ago returning back to their work and life, Henry and I decided to stay a few days longer for what he described as our personal couple vacation. We had done every single thing together, and we made everything fun, romantic and extremely spicy. We went painting, molding, skiing, and even surfing. We made love everywhere in the beach house, on the counter, on the floor, in the bathroom, in the storage room, so much that we almost got caught by the chef.My heart kept pounding at how exhilarating it had all been and how maybe…I had found the love of my life, the man I could completely put my trust in again and who I’d be willing to do anything for.Tonight was our final night together, and Henry announced that we were heading out probably because I’d been laying in all afternoon due to exhaustion from all our strenuous activities, and I had been feeling so dizzy, Henry had been so worried but I had assured him it was noth

SELENA’s POV:FEW HOURS LATER:“Selena…please my love. I need you to wake up.” I heard Henry’s soft voice plead accompanied by a kiss on my forehead and I could feel his fingers intertwining my fingers as always.I fluttered my eyes open but instantly shut it right back as the lights were brighter than any of our houses and the air was cooler than back at the beach house. My mind was racing.Where was I? Why was Henry begging me to wake up? Hold on….am I dead?At the last thought, I squinted my eyes adjusting to the lights and squeezing Henry’s hand with the amount of force I could muster.“Am I dead?” I asked out loud, glad I could hear my voice and Henry looked into my eyes and grinned.I sat up slowly and it dawned on me that I was in a hospital room, laying in my red dress in a hospital bed but the room was so cozy and warm. What happened? Why am I in the hospital?“Thank God!” He pecked my lips and I stared into his worried eyes.“What’s going on? Why am I here?” I voiced out my

SELENA'S POV:TWO MONTHS LATER:It has been two months since my pregnancy was revealed and there was now a bump showing and it was so cute. I was still processing that something was growing inside of me. Henry and I had been going shopping, decorating the nursery along with our friends and having serious and funny conversations about our future.Today, we were all invited by Julian to a ceremony hosted by the soccer federation giving awards, changing teams of players and picking new players into the league. It was called ‘The Super’. I had done my research to understand what I was attending.I had picked out a gown in the midst of about three racks of beautiful dresses because I wasn't trying to call attention to myself knowing the press would be there. It was a flowy pink dress that had slightly hidden my bump and was completely gorgeous. Cherry, and the others came over to get ready here since we were all going in a limousine, had helped me with my make-up while our stylists had don

HENRY'S POV:THE SAME NIGHT:The drive back home was as quiet as ever and it was deafening. Rather than going with the limousine, I called in the driver who came in our black Cadillac SUV. Carmeron was to accompany Olivia and Cherry making sure they arrived home safely. Every time I saw Cherry and Carmeron staying together and having fun, I couldn’t help but read more into it after Selena’s words but Carmeron had assured me he would never cross that line and his words held weight to me.As cars drove by, I couldn’t help but feel weird. I was so used to Selena placing her head on my shoulder and wrapping my arms around her but this time there was a huge gap between us with no single words or body friction. As a matter of fact, she didn’t even want to be in the same car with me which stung. My fists were swollen from the punch, although everyone was surprised by my behaviour, Carmeron, Cherry and Olivia, even Selena, knew how much I valued respect and that man crossed all the lines of

SELENA'S POV:TWO MONTHS LATER:“I recommend that if this expansion were to take place, we don't just set up a store. We do something more spontaneous and huge.” Carmen suggested. She was the granddaughter of Mrs Karen, who I had made the head of marketing, contrary to everyone's suggestions and hopes. Two years ago when I appointed her, a few older employees of the marketing department quit their jobs, and I was scared fearing what if I made a bad call but Carmen, young and vibrant and extremely smart, proved to everyone that I had made a great decision with the increase in our sales and catchy advertisements. I was currently seated in the meeting with Mr Gunnerside, Miss Yolanda and Carmen. I folded the sleeve of my white shirt and heaved out a breath, feeling hot despite the air conditioning in the room. I occasionally feel this way since I hit six months and my bump has grown even more plus the kicks.“What do you suggest?” Mr Gunnerside questioned, clearing his throat and we all
