Marly POV Tears continued streaming down my face. I had ignored everyone I saw as I raced towards the forest. I needed to run. To be with Layla, my wolf, as we recognized what this meant for us. And what this meant for our relationship with Carson. All was lost and there was not a damn thing we could do to change it. I quickly shifted, not caring that I had destroyed my clothes. Layla shook out her fur and took off quickly, racing through the forest. Everything was a blur; racing past us as she ran to get rid of her anger and hurt at what had transpired in the dungeon. “It was not his fault,” she said softly.
