I came downstairs after finishing up my morning routine to meet Marilyn setting up the table for breakfast. She flashed me one of her usual welcoming smiles as soon as she saw me.I smiled back at her as well but only faintly. I had arrived at the coffee shop so I could catch up on my reading before I had to get ready to head to the gym. It was a Richard Wright novel called "Native son" and my older sister had recommended it and I had to admit that I was enjoying it so far. I was at the point of the story where the main character whose name was Bigger had been hired by a white, wealthy family when I looked up to see the guy from the night before. He looked a lot happier than when I last saw him. I smiled and waved and was glad when he waved back. He was so adorable and I found myself wanting to just hold him. It had been almost a week since that awful incident with Sophia. As expected it had brought unnecessary attention my way but I was glad that I had Nico and Rita to help me ignore people. Nobody except us and Julius knew the truth about what had really happened. I was in no way stalking my ex and if I was obsessed with anyone it was definetly not him. “Hey y’all” I announced my presence with a loud greeting as soon as I stepped into Nico and Alex’s dorm. Collin was sitting in a corner eating a bag of chips. “You look dashing, Mr Walker” Marilyn said as I came downstairs. She had a wide smile on her face and her expression showed that she approved of my outfit. “You really think so, Marilyn?” I asked. “Of course I do. You look like such a charming gentleman” she replied. “Thank you, Marilyn” “Are you going out on a date, Mr Walker?” She inquired. “Oh, not at all,” I replied, “I am actually going to go see a movie” “You are quite dressed up to go see a movie, Mr Walker” “You’re the one that said that I should find myself a partner.
